Red Roof Inn San Antonio Ft. Sam Houston

The hotel was a typical two star hotel. The bress er furniture was updated but other than that no complaints because my expectations were set to the star rating.

Typical low end motel. Nothing horrible, but could be better for the price.

This was a promo, Supposedly getting a $150 hotel room for $70 a night. My personal opinion, this place was garbage. We walked in the room and there was a pair of shoes left in there by the edge of the bed right where the sheets kind of hang down. Which tells a lot about how often they do a thorough cleaning of the room, or even if they change the sheets at all. Staff wasn't very friendly and it felt like I was in a scary movie about to get kidnapped. Will never stay at a Red Roof again.

The hotel served its purpose:a place to rest after the daily business.

We do not recomend this hotel, it was very dirty. The ser vice isn't like a real red roof quality.

I walk into the room and the beds didn't have any bed skirts - you could see old, yellowing box spring mattresses. The microwave was sitting on top of the mini fridge. The TV was old and the tile floor in the bathroom looked as if they had mopped the floor with their dirty feet. The location is EAST SIDE, which is an unsavory part of town. I spent all of 3 minutes in that room before I called the front desk and asked to cancel my reservation. I paid $69 for a two double beds on a Thursday.. the quality and location of this place should be charging about $30 less. I was able to cancel and make a reservation else where.

The best part about my stay there was checking out and leaving the place behind. I called ahead to make sure there was a pool and that it was open. They said it was open year round. After we checked in we found the EMPTY pool. I was more disappointed in the fact that I was not given my 30% discount on two or more nights stay. The room was incredibly dirty and outdated. The pictures on the website must have been taken years ago. Now everything is run down, stained, and disgusting.

Although the staff were very nice and the location wasn't too bad I will not be staying at this hotel again. I had to have my key reprogram twice and it was very loud outside at night. The pool was completely drain and what they referred to as a playground was one slide on a small piece of grass. I am sorry (because the staff were excellent) that I would not be staying here again.
