Quality Inn & Suites Near Fort Sam Houston

The hotel served its purpose for our visit to San Antonio...a place to lay our head for a few hours. Check in however, was unorganized and time consuming. People stood 10 deep in line, they were checking us in to the computer, but not issuing keys to everyone. This was at 3:00pm CHECK IN TIME as posted on a sign in the lobby and on the website. Once they did my paperwork I stood there for 20+ minutes waiting on keys. I wouldn't have gotten the keys had I not moved to the side counter visable to the staff. Waiting while they checked-in and issued keys to others in line. Staff was nice though!!

This is a great hotel for the stock show in san antonio.. it is Located Just off of 35.. maybe 5 min from the At&t center... 7 to 10 min from riverwalk.. Yes the hotel is a older hotel.. but you can tell that the owners are in the process of UPDATING what room that arn't already done.. STAFF was very helpful also with a good HOTT breakfasts.. THANKS GUYS WILL RETURN next MARCH

For the price, it was worth it. Better than some other hotels downtown which are substantially more expensive

we stayed here on choice points.. and have to say excellent staff, carmen Jones FOM, and Joshua Front desk were awesome help... even the maint guy help us take our luggage to the room... 5 STAR ALL THE WAY... Great job guys.. will return

Convenient location to Brooke Army & Fort Sam Houston. Has a nice pool, decent free breakfast, lots of free parking. On the downside, it's dirty, old, not well maintained, & the staff is a little clueless.

First off - No longer Clarion INN & Suites. New Ownership 2 weeks ago - Quality INN & Suites. The room that I booked was unavailable, due to renovations. Had to pay the difference to UPGRADE, only to find that this was the room I had originally booked. Hotel staff, especially CLEANING staff, is virtually non-existant. Property is pretty run-down. If you are only staying 1 or 2 nights - This ONE STAR RATED hotel is still over-priced.

We flew a our small, homebuilt airplane into San Marcos. We were going to a wedding in Austin several days later. We decided to spend one night in San Antonio to see the Alamo and the River Walk. The 106 F temp made the visit a little uncomfortable. The motel staff was very friendly. The outside entry was a bit less than the other motels we stayed in, but it was a better price too. The pool was very nice and we used it. Breakfast was good too. No problems were noted.

I stayed in this hotel for a couple days to see my brothers grad. The hotel is under renovation and it wasn't stated in the website. The lobby smelt like cat urine and after I checked in and went to my room, my bed wasn't even made. I understand u get what u pay for but I didn't even receive the basics. Go to a different hotel. These guys have some work to do.

My 'biggest' complaint: our rooms were not ready when we arrived at 6:05 p.m. Friday 3/18/2011. We had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for one room and the other 2 hours. We missed an event (card tournament) we had paid a registration fee to participate in...I was afraid to leave the hotel since there were others waiting for rooms. I wanted to make sure we were not put at the bottom of the list. Housekeeping will not get a high score since that was the reason for the delay - that is what we were told. - the bed was very comfortable - the breakfast buffet was reasonable

It was perfect if you would like to see the whole city. It is right in the middle of everything. The price was reasonable and the hotel is very clean.
