Too loud!
The hotel was decent, although we didnt love the noise level! It was hard to sleep because we had a room facing the interstate and it was loud consistently. To add to the noise our shower dripped nonstop! The breakfast isnt great either. The staff was nice and the room was clean. Not the worst and not the best!

Average Stay
I thought the room was good for the price I paid. I was not impressed with some of the front desk staff. The continental breakfast had run out & I waited for almost an hour for it to be refilled. I felt like I gave them enough time to do their job. When I checked back, it still wasn't refilled so I asked the front desk worker, Aaron to refill it. He made excuses that it was the overnight staff's fault. I felt like he should have just refilled it & not blamed someone else. It may have been the overnight staff's job to get everything ready, but it was his job to make sure the stuff was refilled. TAKE SOME OWNERSHIP!!! Other than that, I felt like the room was well worth the money I paid for it.

Short drive from hotel
I would recommend the McNay Art Museum. The grounds themselves are worth the short drive. It only cost $10 to get in & gave me & my wife a nice quiet outing. The interior garden inside was quite beautiful, but the outside grounds are pretty as well. San Antonio is on water restriction, so some of the fountains weren't in operation which was somewhat disappointing.

“HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE CROOKED/FRAUD STAFF!!! Don't waste your $ or time!!”
I have stayed at several hotels in the area and tried this one...and BOY was that a mistake. The hotel is less than average at best, needs lots of work and the management SUCKS! We were traveling with 4 adults and 5 children between 2 rooms. We had another room booked for other friends but they canceled the day before. First night we were there rooms was musty, hot and carpet sticky... and of course the A/C was broken. Hotel is not on the best side of town either and hard to get to. They moved my family and I to the 3rd floor in the middle of the night because it was so miserable. Once leaving I went to the front to check out, gave them keys asked if I needed to sign anything else, or owed anything further the lady advised no. A week later when checking my bank statement I notified several extra charges so I called the hotel to inquire about them. The manager was very unprofessional said I had more than 2 adults and 2 children in the room...that I in fact had 4 adults and 2 children which was not the case. I told him he was crazy, my son is 13 and anyone who has children know that just because your "child" looks older does NOT mean he's an adult. They charges me 65.00 EXTRA dollar for an imaginary person, and my 13 year old. He was VERY RUDE insisting that he knew that our friends that canceled stayed in our room, whenever they didn't even COME ALONG!? Then he advised the night auditor came into our room to check the A/C the first night, and that he "seen" all these people in our room and proceeded to tell us that we had to many people however we responded with "owell there is 2 beds". I'm not a child, I don't act like a child and would never respond to something in that matter. Completely fabrication and lies. It made me angry as it would anyone. I called the corporate office 3 times and each time the manager at the hotel closed out the complaint saying he took care of it, when he never did. I called to hotel back again, requesting a signed copy of what my charges were, and of course he sent me a bogus receipt without my signature and even went to the extreme of saying " I know you AIN'T getting smart with me"....WOW this is a manager at a HUGE hotel chain talking like this? I am at a loss for words of the crooked behavior I have experienced I have encountered at this hotel. I have now had to dispute with my bank, to make sure I get the fraudulent charge refunded. The only thing nice about the hotel, is the older lady at the front she's very helpful however BEWARE of the rest of the staff...especially the management and CHECK YOUR BILL after your leave for additional charges. I should have spent the extra and gone to a better hotel. I have learned my lesson and will NEVER again stay at a Microtel Inn and Suites.

Would not stay at this hotel again.
Check in was a late one and we waited for 10 mins before a staff memeber came to help us. We stayed on the 3rd floor and although it was a non-smoking room; all you smelled was smoke. The staff was less than welcoming except for a gentlemen who was overall nice. We had a breakfast issue. I understand that the hotel stops serving breakfast at 9:30 and to be honest we were no more than 5 mins late. As we grabbed a bowl for some cereal a lady of the hotel staff screamed at us and said "no more meal," which was rude. She made it seem like we did not understand english. Overall, we have had way better hotel experiences and would not recommend this hotel to none of my family members or friends.

good for what you pay for
Room was nice, TV and cable was nice, bed was very comfy. Noise though from I35 was UNREAL- hard to sleep at times due to the interstate noise. Also, the old lady at the front desk is like that school teacher you had in the 6th grade. She watches you like a hawk, like she is your mother- kinda weird, and not very friendly. Overall it was worth the bargain price I paid. Would I take my family here on vacation? NO. Would I stay here again by myself on work? Yea.

Horrible Hotel! I paid for a king size bed and they gave me a queen zize bed. I stayed 5 night and they only clean my room 3 days. What is that? No restaurant close to the hotel, the closest was 6 miles.

Business trip - 2 nights
Hotel is okay, but had a poor experience. Started with a long wait at the counter upon checking-in. Got to the room and the toilet was backed up and overflowing. (got fixed by the way) Then when I finally went to use the "gym," two of the four machines were broken. Location of the hotel was good, but due to the overall experience, I feel that I paid too much for this place.

family funeral
We had very bad next room tenants. We had to call front desk at 3:00am 1st nite. People next door room were so loud we could not sleep all nite. TV was so loud. We finally called front dest at 3:00a.m. After 2nd call to them, they did something about it. 2nd nite was not as bad, but still awful. Got up to put a towel under big gap on door to adjoining room and big watebug/roach ran across my rith arm. They moved us to another room at 1:00a.m (3rd floor from 1st, just to sleep) Next am we had to go to our reg room in our pajamas and right across the front dest. Never again.,

People Friendly
I went to spend time with friends and get to know the city. I rented out a car and finding my way around was not going to be easy since it was my first time there. But the assitance of the employees at the hotel where of great help. They advised me as to where to go and whats the best places to see and how to get there. They where very friendly as i would go up to my room.Housekeeping was also very good at accomodating my needs and making sure i was happy.I am very pleased and i would definetely stay here again. And the price was AMAZING!!!
