Holiday Inn SAN ANTONIO-DWTN (MARKET SQ)

Well after a 4 hour drive my wife and I arrive at the hotel ready to lay down on our king size bed I booked a month in advance but to our surprise no such room was available so we were down graded to a room with 2 full size beds. Staff manger didnt seem to care when I told him thats not what I paid for but he did give us 2 breakfast tickets for the hotel restaurant, which can be pricey but the food is delicious. Room was clean with a nice pool view. We were only a mile from the riverwalk. The best part was the hotel provides a free shuttle service to pick up and drop off at certain locations on the river walk within 5 miles. My wife and I really enjoyed that. The staff was ok some less knowledgeable then others but they weren't just out right rude. All in all the trip, our honeymoon, was good but not great. Price for our hotel was average but good since it was cinco de mayo weekend.

Enjoyed the trip tremendously and the hotel staff made our goings to and from places stress free. Room was clean and the Air Condition actually cooled the room, as the AC usually have not worked correctly in most other places. Kudos to the staff.

everything was perfect eveything was walking distance to resturants and bars.

Did enjoy the Hotel the walking distance to the market place was good,liked that they let us in before our check in time.

walking distance to downtown San Antonio. We were not given a parking pass to the hotel during fiesta and it became a hastle that day. Hotel had a great restaurant, but it would be great to have complimentary breakfast or refridgerator for us small eaters. We didn't use the shuttle to downtown but alot of people enjoyed that perk.

The hotel was overall very clean and smelled great. When we checked in at 4:30 the first day, we were told that our room wasn't available ye. Rather than getting frustrated, everyone stayed calm and we went out to eat dinner while the hotel room was prepared. Then we were awarded a free breakfast voucher for our patience! Very nice customer service!

I came to Texas for the NSTA so I wanted a hotel that was near the downtown area. The hotel was only 10 streets away so that was perfect. The shuttle service is not reliable so I wish I would have rented a car. The rooms were small and the house keeping was not visible. The price of the hotel was $140 a night which was expensive for the amenities. The staff was nice. I would not stay in the hotel again

Noisy hotel, food in restaurant was literally terrible and had to be sent back. If you are just looking for a bed to sleep in you're ok, but don't expect anything else. I would not stay here again.

I got this hotel in a flight/hotel package. It was the best I found - air from Charlotte, NC to San Antonio, TX + 3 nights in a 3+ star hotel in downtown for $562. That's a great price! The staff allowed me to check in 4 hours early which I greatly appreciated. The room was great and can't say anything negative about the accommodations. Another great plus is that this may be the only hotel in downtown which provides shuttle service within a several mile radius. Since my event was at the convention center (half a mile away), I was easily able to request their shuttle and get to my meetings within minutes, paying only a $1 or $2 tip to the driver each time. That saved me probably $30 - 40 bucks which I would have paid a cab for the same service. Only complaint was that, even though they include this shuttle in their promotions, there were two times when I was told it was not available. This was because the staff was shorthanded and the driver had to help somewhere else. Those times I took a cab ($6.50 + tip). They need to honestly change their shuttle promo to say "As available." Everything else was very good and I would say this is a good deal for a business trip or a family vacation.
