Save money away from the River walk.
You can save some money staying here as long as you don't mind being about 10 minutes from the River walk. Overall its a nice hotel. Very typical.

Better value for the money elsewhere
2 missing light bulbs. Remaining lighting too dim to read by. In room web access @ dial up speed. Business center computer is out of service (has been since my arrival 5 days ago). Low water pressure. Wads of hair in the carpet. Used coffee cup lids in the room. A lot of road noise on the front side of the building. Bathroom door won't close without significant force. Service staff very helpful and courteous. Very small swimming pool.

good overall hotel
Nothing to rave about but I think it's a good overall value. They have a full breakfast buffet although somewhat lacking in the taste department. Staff was pleasant.

Nice stay
Nice and clean, staff not as helpful as I would have wished....overall experience was fine. Stayed.during holiday week... glad it wasn't as crowded as expected...

Not again
My husband and I went to celebrate our aniversery. I was not impressed with the location of the hotel, the watered down mango juice or the big hole in the bathroom door. While the staff was pleasant, the hotel itself could use some improvements. It was not my usual experience at this particular chain. There were several families there that accounted for all the noise and jumping up and down from the floor above through out the night. It was a disappointing stay.

Excellent
we thought check in was at 1, and they explained to us it was at 3, our room was ready so they let us check in and we didn't have to wait, the staff was wonderful very welcoming and the room was very clean, breakfast was good and didn't have to wait for refill it was always full, its also in a great location with local Walmart and great restaurants. completely recommend this hotel

Very good experience
The only thing that kept this hotel from being all 5s was the breakfast. While I appreciate a free breakfast at a hotel that goes above the average "continental" breakfast, the sausage gravy tasted odd (like no other sausage gravy I've ever had); the bacon was limp and not tasty; the coffee was bad; however, the scrambled eggs were passable. Taqueria Jimador, across the street, has fantastic breakfasts for less than $5.
