great weekend get away
My fiancee and I went to San Antonio for a birthday party. we arrived early to the hotel and they were able to allow is early check in.that was so great because we just got odd of the mega bus. The lady at the front desk also upgraded our room to a suite.

Great place to stay for easy access to downtown
Our hotel stay was overall pleasant. Quick check in and check out. The free breakfast had a small selection of pour it yourself waffles and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Took off some stars for being placed in the room next to the swimming pool (open 7am to 10 pm). We had no problems with the groups staying until 10 pm but it was not fun to wake up to someone playing Marco Polo at 7am.

Riverwalk is the right place to be at night time fun and many restaurants to go to for drinks and dinner.

Just not it
Stayed here while in San Antonio for a family wedding. Room was small, damp and musty. The staff was great though. Kudos to all of them. I was casually asked by a manager how our room was after our first night. I told her that it wasn't that great. That it was damp feeling and smelled musty. She apologized and offered to change rooms for us. I declined saying that it wasn't worth the effort to repack and thanked her for the offer. A few minutes later she appeared with a certificate for a free night stay at any Fairfield Inn, explaining that she couldn't refund any funds due to having booked through a third party. I told her the certificate wasn't necessary but gracefully accepted it. Also, the second day after housekeeping did their thing upon unfolding towels for showers we found that they were still damp from the dryer. Would I stay here again? probably not. But again I do commend the staff on being upbeat, friendly and trying their best to take care of guests.

Short vacation SanAntonio
Good place to stay for a short vacation
The staff is very kind and polite. There's a greeting card along with small bags of snacks on the desk in our room. Many choices for breakfast. Upon checking out, we were presented another bag of snacks. Only complaint is noise. The room is not sound-proof and we can hear people talk, open/close doors, etc. Overall, it's good for the money.

Weekend Get Away
We did not know what to expect; but to our surprise we were pleased with our choice. The hotel staff made two stranger's stay in San Antonio an unforgettable experience. The hotels central location allowed us to see all parts of the city without a lot of effort. The frequency of the Trolley allowed us easy access to the Riverwalk, The Alamo and great shopping and eat places. We will be coming again.

Pretty good stay
Very close to the Riverwalk. Quick drive or a very quick (and very safe) bus ride. Can't beat free WIFI or breakfast either. The hotel itself is older, and it shows a bit in the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, but the sink leaked all over the counter and onto the carpet. Overall, for the price, it was worth it. Staff was wonderful.

DO NOT pay to park in one of the $5 or $10 parking lots near the Alamo/Riverwalk. If you travel north to the intersection of 3rd St and Alamo St, you can find TONS of 10-hour meters at $0.25 an hour. Seriously, 25 cents an hour. So cheap!
