Quick trip into and out of San Antonio
The hotel is very near the RiverWalk and in close proximity to the Convention Center. I was only in town for 23 hours arriving late on a thursday and out again by 6pm on friday, so my stay was short. The Drury has the elegance of the grand hotels from the 20's and 30's. I found the room spacious and well maintained. I like to visit older establishments because of their character and this hotel, I found to be exceptional.

Clean and classic
Unique older bank building converted to a hotel with a european feel, terrazo/marble floors, lots of wood trim, comfortable rooms and and can take the elevator to the ground floor and exit directly onto the beautiful river walk. Good free breakfast and dinner, nice place and comfortable. Pleasant staff, beautiful lobby.

Weekend Riverwalk Trip
Very clean and comfortable. There are two Drury hotels right accross from each other and both are on St. Mary's Street. Even though they allow pets at no extra charge they have a policy that makes it so you can't leave your pet even if it is crated for longer than a half hour. It made it so we couldn't bring our dog with us.

We are staying here again in February!
Overall, our experience at The Drury Plaza Hotel was excellent! The amenities included beat any hotel in the area. Our favorite part was the rooftop pool/hut tub with the city view. It was gorgeous! And the 5:30 kickback HH wasn't bad either. The staff was also very attentive and had great attitudes. My only complaint would be that the room was pretty small and had the smell of an older building (which it is). I would highly recommend the Drury. More for the money!

Best bang for the bucks!
3 free drinks and finger food included (kids could call it dinner). Free breakfast buffet with lots to choose from. Laundry facilities. Pool and hot tub on roof. All this and access to Riverwalk from basement! No streets to cross! Made my first trip to San Antonio memorable.

Lovely, Unique
Don't overlook this hotel! A remodeled bank building with some lovely art deco touches, the Drury Plaza has an exceptionally lovely lobby, a fine snacks and drink happy hour, and nice staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable-- a bit more spacious than usual. The location is a little less convenient than some other hotels. Good value for the cost.
