Days Inn San Antonio Alamo/Riverwalk

Located just 2 blocks away from San Antonio convention center and mall. Clean, above average size rooms for the price. Very good value. My family usually stay here when attending the Exxon-Mobile science fair.

This motel has a great location. It is only about average or a bit below. Staff did me a favor and changed my reservation when somehow I got a smoking room. The worst thing is the surprise you get when checking in, that there is almost $11 added on just to park your car.

I've stayed at this hotel an number of times before. It is always reasonable, convenient to all the downtown and River Walk activities. This time they surprised me with a "Parking" charge of $10 per day which was in addition to my prepaid amount for the room. I was told that it was far less than some of the other hotels in the area (Red Roof = $18 per day). Don't let them put you in the Annex which is across the street. It may be more private, but it overlooks an old, abandoned building. Depressing!

First if all I entered my room and it was the dirtiest room. Mold in the shower, burn marks on the wall, white dust particles (from the ceiling). The bedding had holes in it. The staff was so unfriendly!! I booked the wrong date and the manager refused to give me a refund! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone (pics to come)

The continetal breakfast was lacking. The beds were not made up daily. The room was clean. The owners were not the friendliess.

The room was very affordable, especially considering that it is close to the Riverwalk. The floor under the bed was dirty, and apparently somebody had chicken wings before us, because there was a wing bone on the floor. But they did let us check in early (but we did not get our room until later) so that we could park our car and get to town. Keep in mind that this is an older Days Inn.

It is at a very good location, a little bit of everything. Good for sleep, that ius about it. Truly convenient though.

They had good house cleaner, the bathroom is a bit small, the bed was really confortable and the service there was good.

This hotel is in a good central location for exploring San Antonio, 5 minutes walk from the Alamo, just a minute or two more and you're at the Riverwalk. It is not a luxury hotel, but it doesn't charge luxury hotel prices so that's fine. The room set up was nice, with a sofa, fridge, microwave and TV. Staff I met were pleasant and friendly. A couple of small criticisms...the room I had really smelt of cigarette smoke, as a non smoker this wasn't very nice. The carpet had quite a bit of damage to it, and really needs replacing. My room was right next to the small swimming pool which was convinient, but not so great at 2am when some people were in there drinking and shouting. And lastly, a couple of small items disappeared from my room during my stay - nothing of value - the clear plastic bag that I put liquids in on the plane and a small knife I carry for cutting tags off things. There is a safe to put money/passport, etc in, but you don't usually need to lock everything up - maybe the maid thought they were rubbish? - but they should leave things if they're not sure.

Good for the price, a little bit of noise. Kids partying but otherwise ok. Block and a half from the river walk and mall.
