Modern amenities incorporated into historic building in St. Paul Square
Historic 1800-era building was repurposed in 2000 to become the Best Western Sunset Suites -- Riverwalk. The public areas are decorated with stained glass doors and have naturally sourced wood flooring, brass ceilings, original brick walls, and a grand staircase on which belles may practice descending is in the lobby. High-speed Wi-Fi is complimentary and available throughout the hotel. Parking is also free. A fitness center is on site. Guest laundry services, including dry cleaning, are available. Discounted trolley tickets may be purchased on site.

good location

This hotel is located to the San antonio downtown. It takes only a few minutes from the hotel to riverwalk. However, it becomes completely dark at night around the hotel. It is better not to get out alone after sunset.

Great spot: Good Hotel

The staff was very helpful. The location is excellent. Breakfast ends at 9:30am... maybe it would have been a bit better if it went at least until 10:30am. Besides that, it was a great experience!

Nice price, valuable

about two blocks from river walk, so if you are single better to return from river walk earlier. The nice thing is free parking and about 4 dollars breakfast. The only thing I felt not good was the hotel's location was not easybto find , especially for the person who was the first time to visit and drove car.

Nice overall! Would stay again!!

My cousin and I went on a road trip for our birthdays and wanted to stay at a place close to the main attractions. This hotel was just that, not a bad walk to some of our destinations, despite the heat! The room was very nice and spacious! My only complaints revolve around the shower which spouted out hard water that felt like needles on the skin, the sink faucet handles that would leak water when turned on, and the free yet very small parking lot that didn't accommodate all guests thus leaving you to park in a lot down the street for five dollars a night! Other than than, the staff was very friendly/helpful and the breakfast buffet wasn't bad either.

Excellent staff, location and price

Right from check-in the reception staff were extremely helpful in suggestions and booking tours etc. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and have all necessary facilities. Air-con. is noisy but very efficient. Good breakfast offered. Trolley stop outside hotel but easy flat walking distance to most locations. Every request was dealt with immediately and would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Mission Charm

It was a good mile walk to the Alamo I would guess, but it WAS a very nice walk! The hotel had a very small parking area, and while it was still free, if it was full you had to park across the street in public transit parking. Staff did not ask to help with my bags, which was a turnoff.

The Magic Time Machine by the airport was AMAZING!!!! YOU HAVE TO GO!!! The entire staff dresses up as different characters. Verrrrry entertaining.

Great for exploring San Antonio

Not on Riverwalk but very close. It is on the yellow trolley line if you don't want to walk. The hotel is very well maintained. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I'd stay there again. If you are a light sleeper then the closeness of the railroad will be a problem.
