Modern amenities incorporated into historic building in St. Paul Square
Historic 1800-era building was repurposed in 2000 to become the Best Western Sunset Suites -- Riverwalk. The public areas are decorated with stained glass doors and have naturally sourced wood flooring, brass ceilings, original brick walls, and a grand staircase on which belles may practice descending is in the lobby. High-speed Wi-Fi is complimentary and available throughout the hotel. Parking is also free. A fitness center is on site. Guest laundry services, including dry cleaning, are available. Discounted trolley tickets may be purchased on site.

Fantastic experience

Hotel was in a great location. Only a two block walk to the rivercenter mall and a shorter walk to a bus stop. Great comp. breakfast. Room was very, very clean and was very big. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Would stay there again.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Instead of taking a riverboat tour which only lasts 50 minutes and costs approx. $8, buy a ticket for the river taxi. For $15, your ticket is good for 24 hours and you can ride as long as you want or you can hop on/hop off.

THE BEST

Looking from the outside one would that this hotel was a sham, but after I entered the lobby I was suprised at how beautiful and clean this hotel was! I will make this my stop each time I visit San Antonio! Staff and Management was EXCELLENT and so was the breakfast. Keep up the good work!!!

A Fiesta Good Time

Sunset Station Best Western has proven to be a great place to stay. Staff are friendly and location is great, centrally located just a short walk from the riverwalk or a event from the Alamo Dome.

good location

This hotel is located to the San antonio downtown. It takes only a few minutes from the hotel to riverwalk. However, it becomes completely dark at night around the hotel. It is better not to get out alone after sunset.

Great location close to downtown

Very nice hotel and ample lobby areas. Dining room has enough space, and the hot breakfast makes you ready to start your day. The hotel location was very convenient. You can walk to the River Walk and to the downtown. We had time to go shopping in the River Center Mall. We really enjoyed we stay in this hotel, I would be happier if the staff in the front desk were friendlier.

1st time in San Antonio

Real value for money

Very comfortable and clean hotel which is a short walk from downtown San Antonio. Try to get a room at the rear of the hotel as the front rooms face Commerce Street which can get a little noisy.

I Recommend!

I read reviews about crickets before we booked . Dghtr in San Antonio said that crickets are bad certain months, and even in her hi rise office bldg. they had crickets. No crickets or bugs at all. Very clean room, spacious, staff very helpful, breakfast was good. And I had never seen a waffle iron that makes waffles in the shape of TEXAS, except for the one I own. Good location. Would definitely stay again.
