Prime location with free breakfast and focus on local Tex-Mex standouts
The three-story, non-smoking Best Western Alamo Suites is just a mile from Market Square and the Amtrak station and provides a free continental breakfast for its guests seven days a week. Parking is free -- a rarity -- as is high-speed Internet access. The pool is indoors and heated. A fitness center stands at the ready. the hotel was very nice. the staff was real friendly, especially the lady who helped with your breakfast. it was a very good filling breakfast, food good. might stay there again when visiting San Antonio.

We did not use the pool or workout room, the breakfast was o.k., nothing special. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was near the military base and close to downtown and the river walk.

Fantastic for friends trip

Fantastic!!
I loved staying here, I will never go anywhere else when I'm in San antonio! The staff was always polite, courteous, and professional. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good, but there wasn't any kind of meat, which I would have liked, it was mostly things with sugar. We didn't get to use the pool, but we appreciated it being there and will try to get to use it next time. If you are looking for somewhere close to downtown, inexpensive, lots of aminiites, and just a pleasantly relaxing experience, there is no other place to go!

Great Hotel!!
Hotel is located in san antonio downtown, close to international airport, riverwalk. The suite was spacious and clean, had a fridge, microwave. Will stayed again!!!

Mediocre Western
Room- small, smelled of cigarettes, but was non smoking room. Free parking-good, off street, felt secure Shower-great, but you'll need it 'cuz bed is hard hard hard. 4 pillows per bed and none comfortable. Indoor pool and jacuzzi- nice AC-excellent good location, close to interstate(s). Take GPS or you will definitely be lost. Don't worry about missing an exit or a turn. Another one is close by! 15 minutes from Lackland and Ft. Sam. Must dos: Alamo, Riverwalk, Tower of Americas at sunset, Nation Museum of the Pacific War in Fredricksburg, TX.
