La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Galleria Area

The sink, toilet and shower all had problems. The water drained so slowly that the bathtub would fill up even when you take a quick shower. This was a minor inconvenience. The unfriendliness of the staff was more vexing. There was a young woman at the desk who made it clear she did not like working and dealing with people. She was rude and made it clear she did not care whether you were happy with her service or not. Upon check-out, I asked a desk clerk for a customer satisfaction survery and it was not surprising when he could not find one anywhere.

The only problem I had was checking in. They wanted to place me in a smoking room. They stated that a non-smoking room was not guaranteed, even if requested at the time of reservation. I am sensitive to cigarette odors. I loudly complained to the staff, and they then found me a non-smoking room. The front desk staff are "not ready for prime time."

Easy to get to and close to Galleria. Very noisy inside and at night. Maybe not hotel's fault but loud TVs and children playing in the halls till late. Air conditioners are typically noisy but this one sounded like it was thrashing a lot of water. Lady at the front would not believe us when the key would not work in the lock which she tried and it wouldn't. They would not let me change to a king bed room from two full size beds. I would not stay there again.

Well landscaped courtyard, showers were lukewarm

The only complaint I had is the fan in the bathroom didn't work so after a shower it took forever for the steam to go away. Otherwise everything was really good!

The hotel is in a very nice location in Houston with quick access to the highway. The entrance and lobby of the hotel are very nice. The room is standard and works well for a quick weekend trip. Overall, no complains!

The hotel was convenient to the interstate and local shopping around the Galleria area. That said, the freeway traffic is very loud. We had an inside courtyard room and were woken 2 mornings out of 5 to loud voices and conversation (once at 5;15 in the morning- possibly staff members) outdoors. The bathroom tile and tub surround were worn and tired looking. The tub was stained and the shower feature did not work very well. Breakfast is typical for this type of setting. Not very relaxing on our last day as a very young child brought a personal entertainment device to breakfast and played it loudly; he was unsupervised and touched food and serving items from the buffet area. Staff didn't intervene and thus the child had permission to be disruptive. All in all, we did not spend much time at the location as we were visiting family. We might stay at La Quinta again, but probably not that location.

Very easy to find the hotel, great location, excellent staff service= GREAT VALUE.

Our stay was very plesant, the location was great for visiting the Galleria and it was easy access to locations we wanted to visit in the Houston area.

The fitness center was clean and well equiped. The pool was lovely,the setting was as in a quiet garden and the Gazebo was delightful. Our room was clean,comfortable and very modern in decor.We will definitely stay here again.Oh, I almost forgot, Great breakfest.
