Nice hotel a decent price
While I think the hotel's attempt at ultra-chic styling fell a little short. It was a nice comfortable room just a short hop from the Galleria. One small drawback is that being situated on the intersection of major roads you can't really walk anywhere, but the Hotel had a complimentary shuttle within 2 miles which was fantastic.

AWESOME -VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
we arrived very late - they had already given our room away but upgraded us for the night - the next day - we were supposed to move to our correct room - they left us in the suite at no additional charge - very pleasant - room decor was awesome...valets very nice

Quiet and Close In
Hotel Derek was a very pleasant surprise. For the price and proximity to the Galleria, I wasn't expecting much. Instead, I found a charming hotel, friendly staff and very comfortable room. My room even had a nice view of the skyline. In all, a good experience.

Houston Gem
The Hotel Derek was a real deal. I was greeted by a friendly staff, and was wisked up to my room without delay. The room was very modern and clean, as well as spacious. The bathroom was very adequite, with a full vanity counter, with sink and mirrors. I would recommend this Hotel to any business person, as well as to any famity traveler. The location of the hotel is very central to a very large shopping mall, and is accessable to Loop I-610.

comfortable and aesthetic
Staff was courteous and helpful. Seating area all along the window was good. Touch lamps and dimmers were good. One thing which needs to be checked is that water used to drain too slowly.

Great Hotel
Very nice and clean hotel. Beds are comfortable and hotel dinining is execellent. Walls are a bit thin but quiet enough at night. I slept like a baby!

We enjoyed our stay and would book again at Hotel Derek. Maybe not a city view next time because of the traffic noise at night. Staff was great, food was great, location was great!

Great Experience
I shopped at the malls and enjoyed the night life in Houston, Tx. The Hotel Derek provided great massages and nice lobby bar for networking. This trip was a great weekend getaway.

My Favorite Hotel In Houston
We travel all the time & we have stayed at 5 or 6 other very nice 5 star hotels in Houston before we tried Hotel Derek... And that was it!! I LOVED IT! Now, everytime we go to Houston I make sure we stay there. From making a reservation, check-in, to the call for anything extra the staff makes sure your stay is perfect!!! I recommend it to EVERYONE! Thank you Hotel Derek for another great time!
