Making the location even more attractive, Holiday Inn Houston South Loop is minutes from the Houston Museum District, Texas Medical Center as well as great Houston dining, shopping and nightlife. The hotel is comfortable, bright and modern. A partial renovation completed in 2010 added new guest room carpeting and upgraded TVs.Amenities

Not the best holiday inn
The room had a bad smell like damp dirty clothes! There was all this black mold under the sink faucet knob, you could tell they just did a very superficial cleaning. I didn't feel very welcomed by the staff either and the convenience shop in the lobby couldn't provide me with a real receipt with the name of the business for my expenses.

Reliant Stadium visit
Loved the Holiday Inn's free wi-fi, availability to print my airline tickets, mini fridge and coffee maker in room. Breakfast was reasonable and servers were all very friendly. Could have used a microwave as there was not one in our unit and the mini fridge froze everything, I could not see any way to adjust it. Pool area was nice, though pool towels were very skimpy (think hand towel) and tables around pool area were never wiped off. Lobby was freezing! No need to have it that cold. Right in the parking lot of Reliant stadium and multiple restaurants within walking distance. There was an available free shuttle which took you within a 3 mile radius. That is a nice touch.

My experience
The room had a bad smell to it (like damp carpet). Bed linens had a stain on them and there was an apple stem on the floor. The location and price worked for me. I would not make this hotel a first choice.

enjoyed the hotel. very clean and comfortable. had one problem. I called the front desk with a problem of someone trying to enter my room. I was told they would look into it and call me right back.I had to call them back 45 min. later, to see if problem was resolved.

Cowboy fan at Texan Game
Had a great time, and would stay there again. Desk staff wonderful
Hotel was perfect for going to the Houston Texans game. Parking lot opens up on the backside to walk right into the staduim. I had a parking pass for the game but the hotel lot was more convenient and closer than my pass and it was free for being a hotel guest. So it was hassle free, no traffic, no hunting for my lot. It was just a really great value, and hassle free. There was 1 dark cloud on my trip, nothing to do with the hotel, the City of Houston decided to turn off the water in the area so the hotel lost water, luckily we had taken our showers early , but had to melt ice in coffee pot to brush our teeth. Not smart, City of Houston!

Every thing was fine, everyone are kind.
I went to see the doctor, and this hotel has a great location, all the persons are very kind, and they made our stay more enjoyable.
