Royal Inn Dallas NW

The hotel is located in a terrible side of the city. It's surrounded by strip clubs and of course all that goes along with those types of businesses. The room was filthy, it smelled bad, and the carpet was so filthy and sticky that I couldn't even walk around in socks. I had to wear shoes! The front door was dirty and didn't work properly. The drapes were torn as well. When I booked the room, the description clearly stated 2 queen size beds. The beds were NOT queen size, they were full. While it was fairly close to Medieval Times and Downtown Dallas I would have gladly paid more and driven further for better accomidations.

I was questioning even checking into this hotel and let me tell you I made a mistake the second I pulled into the parking lot. [...] Shortly after 2am I imagine it was last call at the local bar. I was woken up by a ungodly loud motorcycle revving his engine just outside my door, he was doing a burnout I noticed a large abount of rubber in his parking stall the next morning. After the motorcyce was turned off it was followed by extremely loud profanity and hollering and antiganising. At this point I feared for my life and regretted not bringing a gun with me on my trip. When the biker finally shut up I heard a loud slamming noise and I was sure it was my door flying open sure enough it was the room next to mine, just so happened to be his room. He didnt shut up the entire night, I got no sleep and im sure was less than presentable for my interview the following morning. Id hate for everyone to think im just a dramatic cry baby, to prevent that id like to say I survived the war in Iraq twice with mutipule attacks on my life. My vehicle in Iraq was personally hit by 6 roadside bombs. I also am not predjice against bikes because I am a biker. unlike this guy I donot get wasted and hop on my motorcycle though.

I just needed a place to crash near DFW for a good price ... I got just that ... my expectations were not hi, my need was not hi. If you are looking for the Menger, then go to San Antonio. The price tells you what you are going to get ... I got it and am satisfied. And when you look at it like that, I really should give it a 5 star.

I chose this hotel because of its short distance to the airport, the acceptable pictures, and okay rating on several websites. After checking in, and entering the room, I had to realize that the conditions are bad. Worst thing was: the bed had been made up, but the dirty linens hadn't been changed! Yuk! Upon requesting new linens, the desk staff admitted, THEY "DON'T ALWAYS CHANGE THE LINENS" because single queen are barely sold. So they only do that upon request. WHAT? Are you kidding me? The room does not have the microwave according to its description. They only put that in upon request as well, I was told. Another minus is how noisy this area is, and that the hotel is surrounded by nothing but adult toy stores & alike. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!

I stayed at this hotel in order to catch a flight from DFW. The hotel is located conveniently for the DFW Airport, if you have a car, but that is the best thing to be said about this hotel. Upon entering the room, I realized the bed had been made, but felt like the sheets hadn't been changed (they were DIRTY & WRINKLY). When I kindly asked for new sheets, the lady at the front desk told me, THEY DON'T ALWAYS CHANGE THEIR LINENS FOR NEW CUSTOMERS, but ONLY UPON REQUEST. Are you kidding me? Even though the new sheets had been washed, they were still really dirty. The room did not have the stated microwave or hairdryer. They only put this in upon request, too. Tissues would have been nice. The carpet was filthy and dirty. Lampshades were broken. The place is extremely loud and surrounded by adult stores & bars. Lot's of drunk people. Will NEVER stay there again.
