Needs
It appears that these are new owners who are trying to establish a good business. Cleanliness needs to be upgraded...look at the corners, ceilings, elevators because visitors do. Too many little things need to be handled like TV's going out, phone in room damaged, front sliding door not functioning properly, bar not equipped well, untrained staff at bar, etc. When a problem arose over the 2+ weeks I have been here, though, staff fixed things quickly and nicely. I might stay here again in the future, but I'd like to see that a marketing person go over the place and give the new owners some ideas.

I was happy.
Me and my wife had a nice stay.Too bad no pets accepted so my jack russel had to stay in the car or it's a 250 fine.We were just minutes away from the aquarium and downtown.Unless you don't know your way around dallas.I had trouble with marijuana smoke upstairs but I'm guessing complaints happened and it stopped.I noticed staff walking around with walkies. And they say microwave but there was none in my room. The front desk asked if we wanted another room but we said no because we didnt mind. But we only go to sleep there so I was happy.Plus we had a balcony which was cool.It was clean also.I would stay again plus they have elevators. And good price. This Hotel was a comfortable stay.

It's OK
Wasn't crazy about the complimentary breakfast. I cannot believe they charged for bacon/sausage/etc at a price of a 1.00 or more for each item. The choices that came with the complimentary breakfast was not up to par! Coffee was horrible! Was not crazy about the room deposit that is demanded from you that speaks of examples to how others have ruined the towels with stains or burns in the blankets. To be included in some other clients category or irresponsibility is humiliating.......but I do understand. So.......... what did I find when I turned down my bed? I found a burn hole in the blanket and a marker stain from an obvious child. Now, what company would put a damaged blanket on the bed and expect customers to have that deposit charge with a "lecture" upon signing your life away when checking it? I was VERY upset to say the least. I then had to call down and complain that I did not want to get blamed for someone else's destruction, but the main complaint was how in the world could they do such a thing. Who determines how old that burn hole is................ UNFAIR! Never again will I stay there. The price was right for booking purposes only

Clean
Everything was nice and clean. Non-smoking which was really nice. My only complant was breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, stale white bread and cereal are not enough for me, wish they had bagels or something else.

I needed to put down $50 at check in to ensure that I wouldn't steal or damage anything. Made me feel like it was a shady hotel in a shady neighborhood. Dallas is an awful town to drive in and the hotel was difficult to find. I wouldn't go back. but for one night driving through, it wasn't so bad. Bathroom was really nice. Hotel was clean-ish.

go price but not worth it the money saved
I hope who every owns this company see this because this place just hurts all hotel they own.I stayed here because of the price. The beds were comfortable but the rest was dirty, and they had a chair in room that was falling apart so much i sat init and fell over on to floor.I did not report it because it was 10 at night and was tired from moving my daughter that day.Next day we get ready to check out i was told my 50.00 depoist for key would be retured after the room was checked. So we took or ticket for breakfeast and went to go eat.We had 2 people in room and was given 1 ticket ,so was had to pay for 1 breakfeast.Hot breakfeast it said, lol, cold eggs and bad service. We went back to desk to get 50.00 they owed ,and charged 12.00 for a 2inch spot of makeup that they said was never coming out.I never looked at policy like i was inspecting a paper from attorney or i would have never stayed here. They manger was one thing being rude when i told here they should have to give me 12.00 back.I did not charger them for the video i took of the room and charge i fell out of chair in room, and i hurt my back. She said if was that hurt i would have reported that night. Then before that the guy behind desk like his a manger opened his mouth to me.Please DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL YOU WILL REGRET THE STAFF MEMBERS

Not bad
If at the last minute you need somewhere to stay this will do just fine. Be careful though about using your card for the deposit in case of damages to the room. It takes a while for the $50 to be credited back to your bank account.

Glad we only booked for one night!!!
Desk clerk with no personality leaves a very BAD first impression!! Wallpaper peeling off in the room, then they have the nerve to slap a $50.00 damage deposit on you when you check in........what a joke!

Very clean and comfortable
I'm reading these reviews, and I'm wondering if these people are corporate travelers (who actually know what to expect), or occasional travelers who have no idea what to expect when traveling. I was here for a conference across the street at a 4 star hotel ($129.rack rate with $22. daily internet fee and $22. daily garage fee). This 4 star had no fridge and no microwave. For all of the people who are commenting on the free, let me repeat, FREE continental breakfast there are several restaurants in the area. For $50./night, be glad they're giving you the free coffee in the lobby (once again, the 4 star doesn't). I found the continental breakfast to be absolutely fine. There were cereals, breakfast beverages, fruit, pastries, and a hot item daily (usually scrambled eggs). There was also an attendant who would make a "made to order" omlette for $1.99. $1.99, REALLY? You couldn't buy the items and make it yourself for that. Now....on to the room. When we arrived, we were expecting marginal service due to these reviews. There was a very pleasant young lady who checked us in and there were no issues. She did have us sign a damage waiver. It is not uncommon to be charged for things you steal or damage and I admire them for clearing this up in advance. EVERY hotel is going to charge your credit card at check-in for incidentals and other fees, (once again, the occasional traveler doesn't know this). Once we got into the room, we were impressed. The room was clean, had a new flat panel TV just recently installed, the down comforter was nice, the desk, nightstand and entertainment center were actually wood (not pressboard junk). The desk had top facing outlets for internet (wifi was free). I checked out the bathroom to make sure the tub was ok after seeing these reviews. The tub was spotless and was actually the heavier porcelain and NOT the cheap hotel junk that eventually cracks & grows mildew. The towels were spotless, and the ceramic floors were spotless. I never once felt "unsafe" as they have onsite security. The people at the desk, as well as the people in the restaurant in the morning were helpful and very courteous. If you are looking for a good, clean room at a WONDERFUL price, this is it. I plan to attend the same conference next year and I will absolutely come back. For anyone who doesn't understand that free means "FREE", there are many restaurants in the area. The hotel doesn't HAVE to offer anything in the morning. I think it's a nice touch. They're trying to do a little extra for their guests and I see that it's causing them more problems than if they didn't offer anything at all. People who don't travel have unrealistic expectations for both hotels AND airlines. These will be the same people fussing about lines at the airport and having to suffer a bag of "peanuts" after the airline itinerary stated they would get an in cabin "snack". An absolutely wonderful stay!
