Great for couples
The room was small but comfortable and came with bathrobes and a mini bar, but no microwave or coffeemaker.

Great hidden treasure.
This great little treasure is hidden in the North Dallas area, literally looking over the campus of SMU. It has the unique, boutique feel of all Kimpton hotels I have stayed in. Incredible staff! Beautiful, trendy lobby and pool area. A great restaraunt/bar! I will stay there again for the Krispy Kream Bread pudding alone! My only negative is my room did not have a window. I do not think this the case with all of the rooms so I will definitely ask when making future reservations. I will stay here again!

Loving Lumens
This is another great Kimpton Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic location. Fun and funky decor at a very good price. I will definitely return. My only bit of displeasure was that the restaurant/bar closed at 11:00 on a Saturday night! Got to fix that!!

Does the trick
Great experience. No hassle at check-in, quick check-out. Clean rooms, very stylish. Felt like W style at half the cost and without techno in the elevators at 6 in the morning.

Too Expensive
This hotel only has one thing going for it - location. Its too expensive otherwise. The Hampton Inn I stayed in the night before was way better. At the Hampton there was a decent breakfast. This place only had coffe and tea. What a joke! Never going to stay here again.

DIFFERENT KIND OF HOTEL
A friend of mine booked the hotel. It is a very nice hotel if you dont want to see anybody and just there for business. Clean, professional and the beds are comfortable. But...... The only thing I didnt like was the fact that they have NO POOL there. You can go a mile and a half up the avenue to another hotel from the same change to go into it,, but,, no thank you. Plus, the check in girl that worked at the desk, [...], had an awesome Megan Fox combination of blue eyes and black hair. Also, what I like is during the wine hour they have a wii set that you can play. Yes,, I took advantage of it for one boxing match then I left to go to town

Great location and great value
The Lumen is, as are most Kimpton hotels, unique and friendly. The room was large, creative and crisp. The staff were helpful and personable. It's a terrific location right next to SMU campus. The value is exceptional.
