Rooms are like mini-apartments
Staff are very friendly and helpful. During the summer they offer a complementary nightly social hour with hot food and wine as well as a complementary hot breakfast every morning. However, they do not have room service but do have menus at the front desk for local restaurants you can order from. The rooms are like mini-apartments with walk in closets and small kitchens with a large fridge, stove top, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven as well as things to cook with.

Disappointed with Hyatt
The Hyatt name has always been associated with excellence, but this hotel was not represetative of this excellent reputation. The interior hallway carpets were dull and drb, the roo was unimpressive. The beds were comfortable but it was not much of an upscale Comfort Inn. The desl clerk said we could walk through the property to get to to a leading resaurant. It turned out to be an unsafe alleyway which was sparsely lit and dangerous. Poor directions for guests to reach the restaurant. Shopping was nearby, which gave this a plus. Otherwise it was a very mediocre experience.

Medical trip
Needed a room for medical trip. Comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and quick to respond. $8 charge to park but with a $125 room price it was a good deal. Happy hour and breakfast included in price. Recommend.

Nice and Not so Nice
Hotel staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included in the morning. Our room had just had the floors conditioned so when we came in the room was really muggy and uncomfortable, the floors were still damp. The toilet constantly (every 10 minutes or so) partially flushed itself. (Anoying when trying to sleep), I handy manned this for a temporary fix. Towel rack was not on the wall, but I'm handy so I spent 2 minutes and put it back up. The parking garage was $8 per day which had a gated entry, the gate was old and opened toward your car (be careful not to pull up to close to it). $8 per day is kind of alot for parking in the city as there are all day parking areas downtown for $2.50 per day, but this is about 6 mile from there. The hotel was very quiet, there was a full kitchen, minus an oven, and a full size fridge with an automatic ice machine, sure beats running down the hall for ice. The cleaning staff never got in the way and never banged on the door at 8 am for "house keeping". All and all, it was OK. The few grips I have probably wouldn't have happened if I asked to change rooms, however since I arrived at Midnight I was just ready to sleep.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a Macys and a Full mall right around the corner. I'm not sure I would walk due to the amount of traffic in this area, but it is definately close enough.

Great Location, great rooms
The Hyatt Summerfield Suites are well situated on the 75 Expressway where one is literally minutes from downtown, uptown, NorthPark and Addison/Richardson. I've stayed at this hotel on two occasions and found the staff to all be friendly and helpful. The rooms have always be clean, comfortable and well-maintained. I also like the fact that they provide a 'free' breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening.

Short drive from hotel
The hotel is less than 5 minute drive, or if you're a walker like me, about a 10 minute walk, to NorthPark Center which is one of the best malls I've been to anywhere.

Absolutely Great Place to stay
We stayed 6 nights here in early April, 2011 and have nothing but praise for this hotel. The rooms were spotless and housekeeping was friendly & thorough. The entire staff was a genuine pleasure to deal with, from the General Manager to the maintenance man, who stopped in the hall, to ask how he could make our stay better. The front desk staff were amazingly helpful. (Thanks[...])The location was great. We could walk to the grocery store any time of day or night with no concerns. If we go back to Dallas, we won't stay anywhere else!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
It may not be for everyone, but if you want to visit a 50's style drive-in restaurant and have great burgers from a tray on your window, go to Keller's (Northwest Hwy and Abrams Rd Dallas, TX). Saturday nights - Hot Rods, Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, what's not to like?

Great Location
This hotel is in an upscale area very close to Dallas' best mall. A grocery store and many restauarants are all within a few blocks and the hotel shuttle gives you access to those choices if you have no car. Note there is a parking fee that was not noted anywhere on the review or reservation, but parking is in a safe, gated garage convenient to the hotel. Highway-side rooms do have slight traffic noise, but rooms are clean with large tvs and comfortable living areas. Full kitchen was great to have.

Hyatt Summerfiled near North Park Mall
Great place, nice staff, extra nice free Breakfast, fast, free Wifi. Parking is extra, but lots of free parking on the street. Very safe area, near North Park Mall, Tom Thumb, and additional shopping. Easy on/off access to freeway (Central Expressway - 75). Extremely clean and updated suites (fully stocked kitchen including dishwasher, work desk area, living room, separate bedroom, HDTV, DVD, cable). Outdoor pool and hot tub not usable in winter. Seems geared to business travelers.
