La Quinta Inn Corpus Christi South

It was a pleasant stay, for price paid. It was right off the highway with eveything close by.

For Spring break weak the room was OK. We asked for non-smoking and when we walked into the room it smelled like smoke.

The front desk agent was great. Very prompt and we had a very easy check in. The location was perfect for our needs. We were only a few minutes from our destination. The room needs some attention. The lamps were painted over their original finish and most of the paint was chipped off and cracked. The sink was clogged up and the bed was horrible. It was sagged in the middle and my wife and I could not sleep hardly at all during the night. And, the date stayed is January of 2013. The drop down menu only went up to 2012.....

I have to honestly say this was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in and that I am TRULY glad I carry Lysol in my room. We went to the coast for a pre-wedding getaway and had we not had such a long day and weren't so tired, we would've just left and gone to another hotel. The room stunk horribly. The bathroom was filthy and the seat that's used to aid handicapped people in and out of the shower was yellow/orange. We did not shower as we were afraid of catching something. The sheets looked clean enough, but we choose to go ahead and Lysol them down, along with the AC unit on both the inside and out as the smell coming out of it was horrid. The worst part was seeing the plastic bag tied completely around the smoke detector, leaving us to wonder why if housekeeping had come into the room, it went unnoticed. It was very obviously tied up and around the smoke detector perfectly. The next morning when we visited the breakfast buffet, we actually had to get the desk attendant as the food and drink were in an awful state. There was a mess on the floor, a mess on the counter, and someone had spilled something all over the floor. I write this as an avid fan of La Quinta and have always tried to stay in one when travelling as they are dependable and affordable. However, this last trip alone has made me rethink all of my future visits. Disgusting is the only word I have for this.

Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, very nice staff. We were woken by other loud customers during the night, but otherwise, an uneventfully, pleasant stay.

The hotel room was too dark; and a very very limited number of television channels. At least offer pay per view! Also, there were only 3 plastic cups and one little bottle of shampoo!! We were there for 3 nights and we had no chance of eating the "free breakfast" offered. The room was too small and guests were letting the children make a huge mess and we couldn't even get close to the food! The only favorable thing about our stay was the parking which was close to the room. We believe in giving second chances hoping the disorganization was due to spring break; we need a room again for 2 nights on april 5 & 6th; and would like a room with an upgrade; otherwise we will look elsewhere. What happened to 3, 4, and 5 star hotels???

I have never stayed at LaQuinta; and it will be the last. The room had a stale odor to it; the room was dark and dingy. We had 3 days of a free breakfast. You couldn't even get to coffee pots!! Kids were everywhere, people bumping into each other. We decided to go to Denny's and IHOP. What good is a free breakfast when you can't fix it. Also, two paper cups in a room is not enough

The room was great except I asked for non-smoking & the odor of smoke told a different story. Other than that, everything was good.

The stay was ok, the room could have been cleaner but for a one night stay it was a good place to lay my head.

Very satisfied with the accomodations especially for the price.
