Super 8 Austin/Airport South

I enjoyed my stay mostly due to he convenient location. Easy access to all area attractions a short 10 min. Drive to downtown. The bed was very soft and both my wife and I had similar complaint. Breakfast bar was average at best not impressed. I would not stay again due to he bed but he location is great. Staff gave good recommendation for eating out. Internet was slow actually the 3G for iPad was faster.

This is a Super 8 after all, so nothing was fancy, but the room had everything. It had the "tier one" amenities like workspace and hairdryer. It also had what I consider "tier two" accommodations such as a dining table, microwave, and refrigerator. Tier three included a DVD player for the flat screen TV, and a room safe. But this room also had a ceiling fan, a bath scale, a "rear view" scissor mirror in the bathroom, many lamps for excellent lighting and a free basket of water and snacks, You also have your choice of pillows, including body pillows! The only downside was I didn't have a car and the bus ride into downtown took an hour each day, but the bus stop is right outside the door. The other problem without a car was the only food within walking distance was a Jack-in-the-Box in the parking lot but too dirty to eat at, a Wendy's or a Burger King. The breakfast at the hotel is fine if you want carbs for breakfast. Hotel staff was great.

staff was excellent, the room was clean and a great mattress. excellent breakfast. the bldg was clean as new.

The staff was incredibly friendly and offered advice to me about great places to go in Austin. I enjoyed my stay!

This hotel worked out perfectly for my wife and I. We were able to visit friends in Uhland, go to Hamilton Pool, see the bats at the Congress Ave Bridge and eat at Sixth Sreet from this South Austin location. The breakfast was a good starter for an active day. The staff was friendly and approachable. Getting back to the airport was a cince!

The staff are very friendly and take interest in meeting your needs. The room comfort, breakfast and location near the airport are all upsides. What you get for what you pay makes this Super 8 a great value.

Nice stay. The room was clean, and everything worked well. My spouse and I used this hotel as a place to crash while sightseeing in the Austin area, The continental breakfast was a little meager if you expect it to be your primary morning meal, but I just got coffee there. The breakfast ends at 9am sharp. The parking is limited, as there seems to be just enough for one stall per room. It's easy to get too. I would stay there again and not hesitate to recommend it to friends. This place renewed my willingness to consider the Super8 chain.

We originally booked at a "fancier" and much more expensive hotel in Austin for 2 nights and decided to stay another 2 nights, but the room rate would have doubled so we moved to the Super 8 - it was NICER than the other hotel and half the price! Good bed, quiet, PLUS breakfast, which the other hotel didn't provide with their price! Highly recommend!

Lots of great amenities and extras. Well worth the price

I usually stay in "fancier" brand hotels but thought I'd take a chance on this one because of good reviews and price. I have no reservations about this hotel at all. Room was clean and on par with other more expensive hotel brands. Staff is top notch. Loved the added amenities like free movies, a dvd player in the room, a free book library, snacks in the room, ceiling fan, and a message chair in the lobby. All in all, I had a great stay and will be back.
