Worst management/owner
This is the first time I have ever wrote a review about a hotel, and we travel all the time. I am writing this because the other reviews I saw on this hotel were great and I was excited about this hotel. My experience started before we made it to the hotel. Two days before we arrived I contacted the travel agency to cancel the last two days of our trip. My husband couldn't make the trip and the rest of our family was leaving two days before us so we also wanted to leave. The travel agency placed me on hold and contacted the hotel. When the representative from the travel agency came back on the phone and he apologized profusely saying that the manager was refusing to talk to him that she had other patrons to deal with. I hoped that this was just a fluke and not representative of the hotel. Two days later when I arrived at the hotel there was a guest at the desk that was very upset because they booked two rooms and there was only one available. The poor girl at the desk was trying to help him, but the manager/owner was at home and was refusing to speak to the guest on the phone. Again I hoped this was a fluke. The hotel itself was just ok. There were a lot of little things that needed repair. The pool was not maintained or any of the patio furniture. Our microwave was broken and they will not allow you into the breakfast area at all except during breakfast hours. NO exceptions. The breakfast was fair. The housekeeping wasn't done on a regular basis. They even called a couple times to see if we "really" needed it. The towels for the pool are counted and kept track of as if they were gold. On the second morning we were there two young boys (around 1 and 3) knocked on my sister's door because they were lost. My sister took them down stairs and the manager wanted no part in finding the parents. She wanted my sister to take care of it and call the police. She said she didn't have time for this because she was running a hotel. My sister found the boys uncle. I told the manager that afternoon that I would be checking out early. She became very upset and told me I wouldn't get any money back because the rate would go up. I was checking out 2 days early on a 9 day trip. I told her that didn't make sense because my family were only staying 7 days and they had the same rate, She said "whatever". On the last day I brought my keys down and to make sure everything was good with me checking out early. The manager said "did you call the travel agency?" I told her no, that I had talked to her, but I would call the travel agency. I called the travel agency while I was sitting across from the desk, again the travel agency put me on hold. This time I was sitting there while she told the travel agency representative "I'll process the refund, but next time tell your people to talk to you, not the manager at the desk. I'm very busy here trying to run a hotel." I wanted to tell her that I had already talked to the travel agency before the trip even began, but I didn't want to risk my refund.

I had a great time at this hotel. Thank god for the honest reviewers! They led me to the perfect place. The only note I need to make this that this hotel no longer offers a shuttle service to and from the airport so make sure you make other arrangements. Other than that, my husband and I found the room comfortable and and the staff wonderfully pleasant.

We made frequent use of the hotel computers in the lobby to help us find our way around Austin. The location was pretty good but how to get downtown was not super obvious for us. Once we figured out where we were situated in comparison to the major roads, getting where we wanted to go was easy.

A suprisingly nice hotel. Lots of little touchs like ceiling fan and free wifi. Room and bathroom super clean. Even free snacks and water in the room. If we come to another casting call in thr area again we will be back for sure :-)

Loved the location - we didn't have to deal with IH 35. Room was clean and snacks were a nice treat. Wished breakfast would have been until 9:30am on a Sat. This is the third time we have stayed here. Great location and price!

Great Birthday Weekend!
This hotel is a "keeper". It is up-to-date in every way and has a larger breakfast and breakfast room than most medium-priced lodgings. They even have dessert in the lobby every night from 6-9. The staff is friendly and unusually helpful. If we get the opportunity to come back to Austin, we'd gladly stay here again.

A great place to stay
This motel is somewhat isolated -- no restaurants and/or stores nearby, but it's close to where my daughter lives, so it suited us. We appreciated the complimentary full-variety breakfast and use of computers and mini-store. The rooms were very clean and spacious and comfortable, the staff very friendly, and housecleaning excellent.
