Just north of the Live Music Capital of the World! Red Roof Austin North is conveniently located off of I-35. Only 5 miles from downtown Austin, the 6th Street Entertainment District, the Univ. of Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson Library, and Lake Austin, this hotel is near many great restaurants.

Prostitute Haven

It was terrible, it was right in the ghetto. I didn't feel safe leaving my things in the room, I was glad I didn't have my son with me as it was unsafe as well. There were drug dealers walking around every night and prostitutes as well.

Horrible experience

This hotel is in a bad location. One way in and out. Not safe at all. For it to be on I-35 in Austin, Texas, I was very disappointed. The bed was hard and there was a smell in the room. It was nothing like the picture you advertised. I will never stay there again. I may never use orbits again. I expected much more. I know that the price was good, but I guess you get what you pay for. Hotels are rediculusly priced to begin with, but that was unexceptable.

Below average stay

Facility under repairs at the time. Not really prepared to have guests. Room was not 100% inside.

never again

It was terrible. There were roaches, we had to change rooms 3 times BC the water wasn't working in the sink. I wouldn't go back there

1st and last visit

The hotel is geared more to people working in construction and contracting, rather than families or couples. Upon our arrival it was full to capacity. We had trouble parking close to our room and it was very noisy - all night long. The room was VERY unclean. There were small roaches in the bath room area. The room smelled like beer. The price: the old saying is true - you get what you pay for. I am not inclined to go back, nor recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Not what I expected

I made reservations for a non smoking room. When I got there, I asked to make sure I was in a quiet place. She said she mainly had people on 1st and 2nd floor, so she said she would put me in the 3rd floor in the back - I heard a tv all night and the room smelled like a smoking room.

So So stay

No refrigerator, No Microwave, Room clean but normally missing something like no hand soap, no kleenex,no wash cloth at sink. No Hot water the first night-had to call the next morning to get so so hot water.

It was alright

It was good enough for a last minute trip to Austin. I don't think I couldn't have stayed more than a night though. The area around the property is pretty shady, but felt more secure knowing there was video surveillance and security walking grounds through most of the night. They could have at least provided toiletries; the standard shampoo and lotion would have been nice in addition to the soap.
