Just north of the Live Music Capital of the World! Red Roof Austin North is conveniently located off of I-35. Only 5 miles from downtown Austin, the 6th Street Entertainment District, the Univ. of Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson Library, and Lake Austin, this hotel is near many great restaurants.

If you are thinking about staying here..Just don't

Dirty room, no cell reception inside the hotel, despite the fact that wifi was advertized there was none. We found several hairs in our bed and the bathroom was absolutely filthy. Just spend a few extra dollars a night to avoid this place.

Red Roof Inn

For only $45 dollars you can not ask for a whole lot. The lady at the front desk as well as the other workers were very nice and friendly. The room was clean, bathroom clean, bed sheets clean. Not in a bad part of Austin the area has been recently cleaned up, it was a quiet hotel. For $45 its cool, but I will spend a little more money for my next hotel room.

THE SMELL AND THE PEOPLE

The Front Desk Clerk was sooooooo rude and there was a smell in the room. YUCK!!!! never going there again!

Beware

The location is in the shady part of town. I know I witnessed some deals going down, but didn't want to get caught staring. The pictures of the Inn must be from another location. There was NO microwave in the room, but for an ADDITIONAL cost you could add a coffee pot. For the price the room, bed and space were fine.

It was terrible. There were roaches, we had to change rooms 3 times BC the water wasn't working in the sink. I wouldn't go back there

I saw pets are allowed.. and there was a hint of smoke smell.. but not strong enough to be a former smoking room (maybe the room next door). But it's cheap and it's on i-35 and it's in Austin, around 10mins from downtown

Eh...

We had stayed the night at a Fairfield but had an overwhelming day. We needed a place to nap before driving 6 hrs on the rd. when we drove up we had trouble getting in bc the entrance was obscure and second entrance was locked. Walking in to the room it stunk of cigarettes even tho it was non smoking. Bed was what u'd expect for 40/night. We got our nap though and left within the hour
