Smelled really bad
This hotel had a horrible smell. Very loud. The bed was small and very uncomfortable.

They have cockroaches
Need I say anything more? I stayed for a total of 2 hours, saw cockroaches (some big, some baby-sized) in the bathroom & bedroom, packed my stuff and went to another hotel. The staff seemed unfazed by my complaint as if they already knew. I'm now out over $200 because I had to move to another hotel in the middle of the night and Motel 6 refuses to cover that expense even though I can prove it... got pictures of the critters on my phone and smashed one on the back of my original receipt which the girl at the front desk kept. Needless to say, I filed a report with the Health Dept. That place is a wreck.... Don't stay here... in fact, don't ever stay with any Motel 6 since they can't keep their places clean or compensate you should they mess up.

Missing the basics
Overall room was clean. No amenities except a small bar of soap. Have to pay for wifi. TV was small and old. Basically good for sleep and not much else. The price didnt really match what i get. Over $200 for three nights for basically a bed, ac and running water is not a bargain.

Cheap motel for SXSW
I came to Austin for SXSW [music conference/festival] Basically this is a really cheap motel that wasn't ridiculously priced like most other spots in Austin were for the special weekend

quick trip to austin
our stay went fine. The motel is in a great location easy to get to any place in Austin. Just wish they had coffee makers in the room.

Quick Austin visit
A non-smoking room with ashtrays!!! Second hand cigarette smoke from neighbors. For the price with tax of $137.00 could of and should of had a much better experience. Will not stay here again.

Insects in my room
Location and access was great. The room seemed to be clean, but I had the surprise of having insects in my room, behind the tv and in the desk there were many insects coucarach looking.

Suitable location 2.5 miles to downtown
It was a perfect landing spot for our first time in Austin. The short drive or long walk to the "SoCo" neighborhood and easy access to the interstate and downtown made the location suitable for our purposes.

the staff is quite friendly and helpful, but the location is really bad, it seems to be in the worst district of Austin. The door of the rooms have a big rip, so you always hear everything outside. I would never return to this...

Unforgetable bad experience
It was a very bad experience when we requested a non-smoking two bed room, that we got a two bed smoking room. The staff claimed that's what we requested for, which was far from the truth. I have asthma, my wife has never smoked in her life and hated it. It was such a heavy odor that made us sick, we couldn't sleep. I was in love with Motel 6 till now.
