Could have been cleaner, needs some updates
Hotel's pool was nice, but the room itself could use some updates (new paint, baseboards, actual shower curtain versus unusual cloth curtain) and could be a little cleaner. Also, more signage for directions around hotel (such as where the ice machine is located).

I hope I did not contract a disease- FILTHY!
If I could I would give this NO STARS. This place needs to be bleached, cleaned, and completely renovated. Given the budget and location of my trip, I chose this motel. Given the mixed reviews, I didn't think it could be THAT bad. It is true, there are crickets everywhere! 1. Upon entering the room, the smell of musk and mold was overwhelming. (The door didn't even open all the way, got stuck half way) 2. No fridge. 3. BED BUGS! I didn't notice them at night, but in the morning, they were jumping everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. I've stayed in motels for a rate of $39 that were cleaner and had better amenities. I do hope I did not bring home bed bugs or lice or something worse.

Don't Stay Here
Leaky bathtub faucet. Mold in bathtub drain and on shower curtain. AC unit very loud. Television wired on same electrical circuit as room lights so couldn't watch TV with lights off. Thought we'd try La Quinta again after several years to save a little money. Well you get what you pay for. This is a another horrible La Quinta property. Will never stay at another La Quinta, ever.

Weekend Getaway!
I was hesitant to stay here since the exterior was a bit rough looking. BUT surprising the room was very clean and beds were comfortable!! They must of had some remodeling. Because last I stayed here (April 2011) the room was outdated. Good wifi. It really isa 2 minute ride to 6th street! Staff is extremely nice!!!

Worst place I've ever stayed.
Our experience with this hotel was quite poor. The rooms were outdated. We had difficulty turning on the shower. Had to call in to get handle fixed. Subsequently, we had no water on the AM of our second day. My colleague and I were unable to take shower, brush teeth, etc because they completely lost water. There was no water running into the room! Moreover, the motel was loud with other visitors yelling in front of our rooms at 2 AM. The walls are thin and can easily hear commotion from neighboring units. We tried multiple times to get wake up calls but no one would answer the phone for hours. Finally, we gave up and set our cell phone alarms. [...]

Great Location, Great Beds, but......
The first night the Cable TV and Internet did not work. The Towels were VERY thin and rough. Not what I expected from a La Quinta. There were not any bags for dirty clothes. The hotel was noisy.
