Budget-friendly stay in the heart of downtown Austin

It's not cheap, but it's definitely a good choice. The location is good---just right beside the Capitol.The room is clean.

Take a 5-7 minutes walking to some night clubs. It is quiet in the room but it's also easy if you wanna have some fun.

The perfect place to rest
The staff was good but the girl that checked us in didn't offered any information at all. I had to ask about breakfast, etc. and the more I asked the more impatient she became.

Horrible Service.
I called to reconfirm my reservation at 8:22pm since I would be arriving in the early morning. The front desk agent, [...], assured me that my hotel would be waiting for me when I arrived. When I arrived at the hotel at 3 am, they told me that they had no occupancy and they walked me to another hotel. Inexcusable.

Heart of Downtown, convenient
Good accomodations for price. Convenient to tourist venues. Rooms are fairly soundproof, though some partying in the hallways was briefly disturbing. Secure doors to various areas help with safety, but make one feel a bit uneasy/claustrophobic. Linens and room, overall, clean. One blanket not pristine, but gladly replaced by friendly staff. Helpful front dest, valet parkers, housekeepers. Attention to bath and entry safety seems above average.

Walk to capitol and Bullock Museum of Texas History. Short drive to LBJ Library and museum w/free admission and free parking. Drive to Wildflower research center, to Driscoll Grill for Sunday brunch, to Zilker park. Maudie's Too is great for TexMex.

Good value for your money
The location of La Quinta Inn Austin Capitol is definately a plus. It is close to University of Texas Campus, Brackenridge hospital and ofcourse the famous 6th Ave in downtown area. The rooms have fresh painted walls, the rug was ok and the bathroom clean. The only drawback is the front desk help who seem uninterested on anything outside the hotel - Locations of the nearest eateries, bus schedules etc.

Great Location for UT game
My husband and I try and spend a night after a UT game once a season. This is our second time to stay at the LaQuinta on 11th Street. We have tried other places and are glad that we chose this hotel again. Hook 'Em Horns!
