Worst matress ever.
The hotel was an OLD LaQuinta and takes advantage of its' location to give the customer the bare minimum. Particularly, the bed was awful. I asked about the age of the mattress and was told 1 -2 years. Impossible!

Great location for 6th st.
Looked a little run down but it was clean. We were there for a night out on 6th street and this location was perfect! Took us about 10 minutes to walk to the center of 6th street. This place is only worth it if you get a great deal.

This hotel is great location, standard rooms and bedding for the price. Bit noisey over the weekend with people coming in at all hours in the hallways but fine overall.

Good Location for a Decent Price; Not a Place of Luxury
Went to Austin to bring in the New Year. Chose this hotel for its price and decent location. I wasn't willing to spend top dollar just to stay on 6th. This La Quinta is within walking distance to 6th and the state capitol. Also, a short drive to the presidential library and shopping on Guadalupe. Downside to this hotel is parking. You have to pay per day to have your car there. You have no option, but to pay for their valet service. While it was a problem for my quick trip, another downside is that the walls are very thin. Overall, decent place if you're looking to save a buck. It had clean rooms, security for safety, and was in a great location.

The staff was helpful regarding taxi service, airport, and food recommendations. Although their computer system to bring out boarding passes were frozen, the staff used their computer at the main desk to assist printing out my boarding pass. Average room cleanliness, but the comfort was very nice.
