Everything was wonderful!
My fiance and I stayed at the Hyatt for about a week to take the Texas Bar Exam. They were so wonderful and accommodating. The staff was very helpful and really went above and beyond. The rooms were spotless and it was very quiet. We ordered room service everyday and it was just wonderful! I think I had their tortilla soup every day...and am now searching on-line for the recipe. Great place to stay!!

The view is spectacular. The hotel very quiet despite the activity outside the weekend we were there. The location is central to everywhere you need to travel. The staff was great with directions and service. The hotel restaurant has very, very good food.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Two things: a outlet mall a short thirty minute drive with upscale shops - Jones New York, Zegna, Coach, etc. The best barbeque ever at County Line Barbeque.

Sightseeing tip:
Not Applicable
Driving in Austin is crazy. We don't recommend people getting a rental car unless you have another person with you to help navigate. The streets in Austin don't make sense, there are usually at least 2 different names for each major street. The hwys are awful. Very easy to miss on ramps due to POOR signage.

Just what we needed!
We arrived in Austin after a long day of driving, and the hotel was just what we needed. The room was great, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big (and clean!), and the staff was very helpful. I'd definitely stay there again!

Wake up looking at the lake and downtown, go jogging in the lake side, and be walking distance from downtown! Unbeatable in Austin. The nicest staff. Keep making Austin an awesome place!
