Great Location!

Loved the hotels location to everything in downtown Austin! The hotel was really nice. My only complaint is they way over charge for meals at their restaurant but the great thing about Austin is there are so many great restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel for way less.

not a good location

Hotel is under construction during the time I stay. It was not convenient to go out from the hotel and it also takes me about 15 minutes walk from hotel to downtown. It's noise at night.

Great Hotel

They were still doing construction so that was the only thing annoying. There wasn't noise or anything, just a long way to the parking garage. Other than that it was a great Hotel and next time I visit this will be my first choice.

Better than downtown

Stayed here for New Year's Eve since the location was right across the bridge from the ACL Moody Theater, where I would be spending the evening. Staff was friendly and helpful, service was prompt, and the hotel was kept in beautiful condition. Better yet, since you're across the river from the craziness of downtown, it's very quiet too. Expensive though.

A true pleasure

We used visit the top floor lounge of this hotel with it's views of the Hill Country and downtown, back when we lived in Austin years ago...We decided to stay there on this visit..the decor was kind of retro but cool, the rooms a little dated but superbly clean. We had a spectacular view of the river and downtown. The staff was beyond friendly and very helpful and professional. It's close to everything in central Austin and if you want to get on the river just walk out the door and you are there. Very highly recommended.

Great location close to Congress Ave and Trail

Overall it was average. We didn't enjoy having to go downstairs every time our room key didn't work (4 times during our 3 day stay). Staff was friendly and comped us our room service for the inconvenience. We wouldn't recommend the bar for great mixed drinks...at least have educated or experienced bartenders that don't have to read out of a book.
