Homestead Austin - Downtown - Town Lake

The location is very good. Most good stuffs in Austin can be visited walking. The toillet have many problems with the water pipes and valves leaking They did not clean anytime my room.

The location was great not to far from 6th st the customer service was great but the beds were extremely hard so if you are looking for a comfortable sleep, this is not the place for you unless you sleep on the couch like I did which wasn't too much btr but softer.I would stay again if there wasn't anywhere else to stay.

This hotel is an "extended stay" hotel, with a small stove and refrigerator in the room along with (very) basic cooking equipment. If you are planning to actually cook there, keep in mind that the nearest grocery store is about a mile away. The hotel was sufficient for my needs, although the fact that the TV was set automatically to Fox News (channel 12) instead of channel 2 (the default) like all other hotels was pretty annoying. What is that about?

The room was not made up after the first night's stay. I needed to work late, but there was no one in the hotel who could provide internet support when the password for the Wifi didn't work. No manager on site, no help, no nothing. This alone cost me alot more than the price of the room.

Made a reservation here because it was one of the cheaper hotels located near downtown. It actually is not that close to the action (you still had to take a cab or drive). The hotel definitely needs some major upgrades but it is in a safe area. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which was nice, but again could use some upgrades. There is also not a pool and no continental breakfast--two things I strongly believe that lower-quality hotels should have. I probably would have spent a little more to stay closer into town at a nicer place.

Broken 20 year old tv. Double occupancy apparently means one bed and one cot to these guys. Tiny rooms, despite the 'suites' part of the name. Dead roaches in cabinet corners. At least they were dead, I guess.

I visited Austin with friends for a long weekend. This hotel has a great location and is very close to all that you would want to do in Austin. As far as the room itself, I was kind of disappointed. The bed was uncomfortable, the microwave was broken and it would just randomly turn on, which was very annoying especially when trying to sleep. On top of that, there is no housekeeping service unless you want to pay extra. I have never heard of your room not getting clean towels and the bed not being made daily. This was new to me. I even paid for housekeeping the final day of my stay, but they never came and had to get refunded for the fee I paid for the cleaning. I stayed for 4 nights and was told they only offer housekeeping for stays over a week long. Pretty pathetic! I will say the front desk staff was very friendly and gave me some directions, gave me new towels when I brought back the dirty ones, and was overall friendly. Just overall, I was not super impressed and would look to stay elsewhere before coming back to the Homestead.

We arrive and our reservation were completely wrong, all they had left was a smoking room. So I nor our guest got any sleep, we were running ina Marathon the next day. The t.v didn't work the bathroom light didn't work[...]

Clean room and bed, good customer service, Only negative experience are the birds in the tr tend to poop all over everybodies cars...

It's a nice hotel for the price. The room I stayed in is a studio, it has all the kitchenwares, full size refrige, microwave, stoves, so you can prepare meals if you care to. But this also caused problems, around meal time the hallway will smell of different kinds of food. They don't serve breakfast and will charge for internet. The room is clean, hotel location is close to downtown.
