Great location
The hotel room was nice and clean upon arrival. The staff was very helpful in bringing us an extra rollaway bed and an extra toothbrush. The location was perfect, very close to downtown Austin and all the bars/restaurants.

Hampton stay
We have stayed at this hotel many times. Last visit the room looked a little worn. Some mold in shower and carpet was real dirty. Our feet turned black from walking on it. Did hear at breakfast from other guest that rooms on their floor were being updated. So maybe they are working on it. Breakfast wasn't that good. Scrambled eggs were dry and powdery tasting. Sausage patties tuff. Only had regular and robust coffee. Could not find decaf.

Okay
The hotel was nice and the location was great. The biggest problem we had was the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillow were horrible. We were also missing little things, like shampoo, soap, coffee, etc. when I called downstairs they told me to look in the hall for a maid cleaning another room. I felt for the money we spent on a room, the service and amenities were poor.

Double charged
When checking out the credit card reader was running slow and the front girls kept swiping different cards because the charge said pending and didn't wait long enough. Following day I started looking and each card swiped charged my account. Was chraged 4 times for the room. All else was good.

Great Front Desk Service
Marty at the front desk was awesome! as soon as we walked in to check in he got us our room right away, it was a suite and he gave us lots of suggestions on places to eat and party while we were in town visiting. the hotel has a complimentary happy hour and breakfast which was great and a good way to save money on a meal. the hotel was also in a great location, walking distance to most places we wanted to get to or a short cab ride. i would highly recommend this hotel.

Downtown ATX
Overall the hotel was exactly what we needed. For a weekend in Austin with no specific plans it was convenient to 6th Street, Rainey Street, most general downtown areas. We were able to walk almost everywhere which was good, since my one complaint is parking. The only option this hotel offers for parking is valet, which would be fine since valet is available 24 hours but they charge $23.00 for each night you leave your car with them! I found that to be a bit exorbitant and the only other suggestion was to find street parking, which is unrealistic since in Austin you can only pay for up to 4 hours of street parking at a time. The staff was available but didn't have very helpful hints for much of anything, we wanted to go to Shiner TX and tour the brewery but they offered no insight into that. and their only food suggestions would be restaurants in the immediate area, which was odd since Austin has so many options available. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, and besides the parking I had no complaints.

Family get together
It was a good experience. Hotel staff were pleasant. Had a good breakfast bar. Gym facilities were good. Rooms were decent size. Our only negative comment was that the lobby floors and the main door needed to be cleaned. A pleasant expierence.

Quality & Quantity
Although cheaper than nearby hotels, this place doesn't skimp. Great staff, clean & spacious rooms, free wifi, complimentary breakfast (not just coffee and muffins, but many items including waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, etc), and excellent location (restaurants, bars, convention center). What are you waiting for? Austin awaits!

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Hotel parking is valet only and $23/day. If you don't mind a very short walk, there are plenty of parking lots & garages nearby, many for $10/day. Save some cash, get some air!
