Not comfortable

The room cleanliness is not bad, but it's just not comfortable. You feel like you want to get out of the place as soon as possible. Lamps in the room are mostly broken. They don't fix it. Bed sheets are not comfortable at all. Receptionists are okay but not to helpful. The level of comfort does not match with the price. It should be between $50-70 per night at the highest. The location is however good though.

Don't go or money back

The hotel is dirty from the front door to the rooms. The room smelled, no maid service and the free breakfast was nothing but a snack. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A Good Value

Priced at just under 50% of what other nearby hotels were charging, The Extended Stay/Homestead Austin provided me with a spacious, clean room/studio suite walking distance from the conference I attended. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. Noise from room renovations on the 3rd floor started a little after 8am each morning, but that was not a problem for me. The continental breakfast bar was clean, well-stocked and convenient. Not 'resort-style' lodging, but affordable, comfortable and a solid value.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Upper Decks had wonderful Fish Tacos and surprisingly tasty grilled asparagus! The wait staff was also very friendly but didn't 'hover' too much. A great place to grab a meal.

A room near my favroite part of Austin

This hotel is all about location to me. It's close enough to South Congress and Downtown fun that I don't spend all my time in a car while visiting Austin. Because of its affordability, it can't attract some younger, less profession clients that are oblivious to the fact that 4:00am is not a time to rage and slam doors. Luckily the staff is responsive to help minimize the chaos. I was on the second floor for this visit and was unable to open my window so the place felt really stuffy. I value fresh air and would make sure to ask next time if my windows open or not! Thank you.

I don't consider this a 3* hotel

The location is good, but this shouldn't be considered a 3-star hotel. It is a 2-star at best. Didn't seem very clean. No maid service.

Not Bad; had better

The room was nice, but the hotel smelled old & musty. The carpet in the elevator was dirty. It took a while for the AC to cool the room; plus it was REALLY noisy & kept turning off & on like every 5-10 minutes. I liked the location because it was only a few blocks from my training site.

Nice and quiet!

Four nites, good location convinent to down town, and the lake, convention center. Large very quiet room with the kitchen and king bed. Good off street parking too. Day temps were in the low 90's, so a pool and spa would have been a nice addition.
