great stay!
Though the hotel was undergoing renovations, I still enjoyed my night's stay with zero complaints. The shuttle service was also a plus that got me to my NYE destination in time to ring in the new year when all cabs were booked.

Above the best!
I am already looking forward to my next stay at this place. They are presently remodeling it, and I ask you Why? It is as good as it gets as is. Many thanks to the entire staff who always makes me feel at home. Merry Christmas and thanks again for the great service. Salud, Hector

Excellent location and service
I thought I had reserved a 2-room, 2-bathroom suite, but the suite I got only had one bathroom and the hotel was unable to make any room changes. The excellent service I experienced at this hotel made up for the mix up, though.

terrific staff, spotless rooms
terrific! the location was fantastic - right smack in the middle of downtown! the front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating, and they even had a shuttle available to bring you to and from your downtown spots. the hotel it self seemed a little old, but they did a good job with the upkeep and my room was spotless. compared to other hotels in the area, it was on the cheaper side, but $250 a night was still a little steep for me. overall, i was extremely surprised and pleased with my embassy experience. thank you for a wonderful stay!

Entertainment tip:
Long walk from hotel
go to an original show (sing/quote along, master pancake theatre, etc) at the alamo drafthouse (the ritz) on 6th street. the subjects range from cheesy 80s hair bands to evil dead 2 quote alongs and are always ALWAYS a blast to go to! definitely a one of a kind experience, and since the place serves food and alcohol there while you watch the show, dinner and entertainment are all taken care of.

Last minute trip
I arrived as happy hour was going on, boy what a reception, it was a perfect way to unwind after a long drive to Austin. I was then driven to dinner and made it back with just enough time to watch the bats leave for the night. This was my second stay here and would book again if I return to Austin.

Loved our stay here!
We were very pleased with this hotel. We really took advantage of the separate "living room" for a friend we brought with us. It was about a mile walk to 6th street. It did have some bars and restaurants within a block or two also. I would stay here again.
