Business and leisure hotel in north Austin
Just six miles outside of Austin, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Austin appeals to leisure travelers who prefer staying a bit outside the city and business travelers visiting one of the many nearby companies such as IBM, Intel or Siemen. Good Deal
I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past 15 years or so (back when it was the Red Lion Hotel). Even though it's not a new hotel, they've done a great job with upkeep and I would highly recommend it. Great quality for the price, considering the downtown hotels can easily be double the price.

Hotel provides shuttle that will take you to 6th Street Entertainment District. They can't guarantee you a return trip, but you can easily catch a cab back for about $12-$14.

Restful
My wife and I decided to get away to Austin and we had a great experience at Crowne Plaza. The place was packed when we got there and the service was still great. I would definitely return and recommend this for the price and location.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
It was clean but the curtains did not close at all so the sun shined in the room. They supplied Curtin closer things that you can hang to keep them closed but they did not work. The staff was nice and breakfast was good but the room was not pleasant for the price.

Good Hotel
The rooms at this hotel are very nice. The bed was very comfortable. If you get the right price, feel good about booking this room. It was less money than many lower class hotel/motels. Parking is free!

Excellent value
I only stayed one night, but I'd definitely come back. The room was nice and cozy. The staff were kind and attentive, and the location was great. Most importantly, I got an excellent deal on Orbitz!

Enjoyable Stay
