Nice New hotel
very new, very nice. pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, but the bed was comfortable. very close to the airport if you are flying in and out, with fairly easy egress. the morning 'breakfast' .. not so good, but hey, it comes with the room. Best Western is fairly reliable when it comes to it's hotels.

there's alot of construction happening on Ben White (hwy 71) which is the main road from the airport to East Riverside to get to the hotel. just beware and monitor the circumstances so you won't be late

Very convenient location for fliers
The staff was helpful and performed its tasks well. The free shuttle operates frequently and was very handy. Breakfast offered many choices including hot entrees. Rooms were clean and quiet. We were pleased.

Workable layout for 5
We needed near airport room for two adults and 3 teens. We got the foldout (I think they skipped charging us the $10) and it was pretty comfortable, but a little tight. We had the "suite," but it really wasn't a suite since it was just one room, but it worked out OK. We were a little noisy and had a complaint, but we never adjusted to Texas time so the complaint was reasonable. All in all if you can get good rates for this it's a pretty good place and convenient to the airport. Gym and pool are very small and one of the machines in the "gym" was broken. The breakfast buffet was actually quite good and open very early (5am). A lot of airlines use this place so they have the shuttle jazz down to a science.

Austin stay
The hotel & staff were great. The hotel is new, therefore clean and has all one would expect. The other guests were a different story--thin walls=noise=bad sleep.The staff were responsive when we complained, but the guests didn't necessarily comply. It was an NCAA basketball weekend, so the hotel was at max capacity. Lack of staying on top of the continental breakfast supply is probably the only downfall. Staples like milk & OJ should always be in supply & several guests were waiting for coffee another morning. A suggestion for improvement--offer a variety of pillow sizes. All were really big & not ideal for sleeping. I selected no recommendation due to the noise level. Sleep is key in the hotel experience and the experience was not ideal for sleeping (due to other guests).

Wonderful Weekend Stay
Clean and Convenient
We needed a room that would fit 3 couples, non-smoking and close to downtown Austin. It fit all of our criteria and the staff was great!

Good stay near the airport
For a convenient stay near the airport this hotel was good. Staff was helpful. Sad exercise room though, no water, treadmill out of order, no saniwipes for the machines. Average breakfast fare.

Great hotel!
This is by far the best hotel that I've ever stayed at while in Austin for the weekend. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room looked fantastic for the price. Very modern look with a two huge queen size beds and a fold out couch and Microwave and Fridge. We were there for SXSW weekend and the location was just 5 or 6 miles away from downtown so we avoided all the craziness and traffic. I will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Austin!

Very friendly staff and they allowed us to check in early which was nice, the room was very clean however housekeeping didn't check the refridgerator as a sandwich was left inside (we didn't need the fridge,gave a 4 due to this otherwise a 5 would have been given). The heater/ac unit was very loud (2 given due to this) and continually made pinging/popping noises all night. Loud people on floor above and next door. Free parking

Handicap suite
We booked the hotel room and decided to upgrade to a King Bed Suite. When we were welcomed we were told how if the 3rd party didn't pay, we would be charged; the hotel is non smoking and if we smoked we would be charged; and if there is anything missing from the room we would be charged. That was great. Then we entered the room full of rails and a large shower basin with a folding seat. We were in a handicap room which was not requested. It was late and we had to get up early so fighting to change was not worth it. The next morning the shuttle driver advised us the room we were in was rarely used and if so it was because the other rooms were full. I asked then if we would have complained and asked for a room change we would have been downgraded because there were not any like our available. The answer was yes. Only good thing is close to the airport and a shuttle.
