Nice hotel at a great location

Stayed for 3 nights with friends on a girls weekend out and had a fantastic time. Bed was awesome. Breakfast service was top notch. Ate at Gabriels restaraunt for dinner each night: food was delicious but service was slow (and they overcharged me 1 night). Shuttle service for around campus never actually ran. Overall still a great hotel.

Fantastic service and location

This is a great hotel to stay at if you want to be conveniently located on UT campus for a football game and/or exploring the UT campus. It's only a short cab ride away from Sixth Street as well for entertainment. It was such a nice refuge to escape to from all the traffic of everyone pouring out of a game. Very clean with great service!

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

There is traffic galore coming out of the football games so it's nice to walk back to your room and relax while the traffic dies down. You can even find places to chill or eat at along Guadalupe while everyone else is dealing with nightmare traffic on I-35.

Mega camp stay

I thought hotel was unprepared for the more than 10,000 Keller Williams agents who attended seminar at convention center. Taxis and shuttles should have been more readily available. VALET GUYS WERE SUPER!!!! However, it shouldn't take an act of congress for restaurant staff to give me change for $100. Manager's said they had unusual traffic (well, duh!) and that they had to provide change for about 10 $100s -- OK, so? this is supposed to be a 1st Class hotel.

Very nice.

I was in and out of Austin for business...got a great rate to stay at this hotel - the interior courtyard, lobby, and rooms are beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The University of Texas campus is also very beautiful to taking an evening stroll around. The only thing I wish the room had was a microwave, but it did come with everything else.

On the second day of our stay,

On the second day of our stay, the housekeeping staff got to our rooms only late in the day, close to 4:00 p.m. We had problems with a malfunctioning shower and television, both of which management addressed, but both of which were not expected in this quality of a hotel. The front desk could not accomodate a request for one hour's delay in checking out, which was also a disappointment. All these things slightly overshadowed an otherwise courteous staff.

Austin Business Stop

The hotel is located just south of the UT campus. I had a day of business to do nearby the university and so the location was good for me. If you want to hang out downtown, then the location is a bit less convenient. Room was comfortable with a queen sized bed, coach/futon, balcony with a courtyard view, free wifi internet, and tv. The tv was a little small for the room, but comes with standard uverse cable plus HBO. For the price (<$100/night), I was very satisfied with the accommodations.

Disappointing getaway

The atmosphere was too cold. The staff lacked personality. My husband and I were celebrating our 5yr anniversary and probably should have chosen another place to stay with a more "romantic" atmosphere.
