Business and vacation stay

First time in Austin, TX. The hotel is located on the campus of TX University. It is walking distance to three museums and to Texas' capital. I paid a small upgrade for a view of TX University's clock tower. I would recommend skipping the additional fee. The view was not worth it as I also had a view of a parking lot. My business meeting was downtown and it was a very short drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hallways need better tending to. The hallway carpet needs cleaning. Also while staying there, a piece of trash was next to my door. It stayed there the whole time I was there (four days, three nights). The room was a nice size. The TV is small compared to most hotels I stay at. The room shared a door with the room next door. I could hear the TV from the next room. The towels were nice and fluffy (this is a big pet peeve of mine). One problem that I encountered is that when you walk out and go left up the side street to Guadalupe Street, they have their trash bin. The trash bin leaks all over the sidewalk. The street is by no means an alleyway either.

Good Location

Everything was good about this hotel except for the HUGE cockroach in the bathroom that almost gave me a heart attack. Management did allow me to change rooms and gave my family and I free breakfast that morning which was nice. Valet and self parking rates are ridiculous but I guess that's expected for that area. Also make sure you check your checkout receipt, I was overcharged for some things. Oh the pool area is very small compared to the picture, and only about 3ft, the picture online makes it look huge. Overall the hotel was nice, and the staff was great and attentive.

Great Staff and Clean Hotel

We made a last minute trip to Austin and took advantage of the ATT Suites because it is somewhat off the party path and we could relax and not worry about some of the downtown/6th Street. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Had some issues with the restaurants not being open, not having food or not being staffed but wasn't a big enough problem to deter us from staying again.

Texas Style Accomodations.

The hotel was very quiet, cozy and welcoming. Employees of the hotel were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The interior of the hotel was very nice and decorated in elegant Texas style furnishings. Austin is a wonderful city and this hotel was an extension of the Texas hospitality found here. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Great Value

Initially, I thought I was at the wrong place because the exterior of the hotel appeared as if it was a UT office or classroom building. Once inside it felt like a 4 star hotel. It was clean and neat and wifi was free and fast.
