It was "ok" for my daughter's birthday getaway
I took my daughter and 2 of her friends to Nashville for the weekend for her 15th birthday. The hotel was sufficient - clean and comfortable, staff was nice, location was great. Disappointed in the cleaning staff - our room had 4 people in it, and all of us drink coffee. The coffee supplies provided weren't even enough for 1 person. When I went in the hallway to ask a maid for more supplies, she said she didn't have any. I just looked at her in disbelief, so she started digging in a bag - all the while still having a phone conversation! I was an annoyance, rather than a valued/appreciated customer. Then in the morning my daughter went to the lobby to get me coffee (because there wasn't any in the room!!) and found only a Starbucks coffee vending machine that charged $3 a cup! There were no complimentary services of any kind - no coffee, danishes, no microwave or fridge in the room. I travel a lot, and it's nice to have SOMETHING complimentary like cookies and coffee to make a guest feel welcome. Cheaper hotels do that! I live south of Nashville and stay the weekend downtown for fun a couple of times a year..... overall, the hotel was adequate, but I won't be staying here again, just because I didn't feel valued as a customer.

Girl's Weekend
My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday in Nashville, so she, I, and two of her friends loaded up and headed that way. The hotel was very fresh and clean. It was much larger than we expected. The pool area was very nice. The four of us stayed in one room together and had plenty of space, as well as outlets, for all of our paraphernalia (you know women). The availability of the free shuttle was great. The taxi service they recommended was prompt, clean, friendly and economical. We are all looking forward to returning for another fun-filled visit. Thank you.

Good family hotel
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool temperature was a bit cold. Our room was around the atrium which does tend to echo ALOT. We did have to wait longer than we were told for the shuttles. One of the hotel van drivers actually told us the wrong pick-up location at the Opry Mills Mall. Our only complaint would be the inconsistency of the shuttles.

Not returning
The hotel changed names, tried to charge me again. There was no refrigerator in room. Beds were not really queen - more like full. The room had a horrible smell. If I was Gaylord, I would not want my name on this hotel! Gaylord bought it - now Opryland Inn. The bathroom was so small you couldn't hardly close door. If you wanted milk for a child you had to go to a nearby gas station. I will not return!

Irritated Texas mom
Worst hotel experience ever
If I could rate this lower than one star, I would. My husband and I traveled to Tennessee all the way from Texas to spend New Year's Eve in Nashville. As my husband has spent the first 3 years of our marriage in Afghanistan, we were beyond excited about our very first New Year's together. We booked our hotel through you, and confirmed through them that we would have a king size bed with an atrium view. When we arrived, there was nobody at the valet station. After waiting several minutes, we drove around the parking lot for another 20 minutes to find a parking space. We unloaded and carried our bags inside ourselves and went to check in. Imagine our dismay when we were told they didn't have any king OR queen rooms available, but they would put us in a room with 2 full beds. Obviously, at over $150+ a night for a room that was prebooked and confirmed, this was unacceptable to us. The manager came out and blamed it all on the booking agency, saying that when 3rd parties book hotels, they have no idea what is available at the time of booking. If this is true, what a HORRIBLE miscommunication between businesses. The manager told us that he would find us a room at a neighboring hotel (his "help" consisted of writing down a number for 1 other hotel and giving it to me to call.) At no point did anyone offer any other kind of assistance, or seem the slightest bit concerned that we were essentially being turned away in a large city on New Year's Eve, with most hotels booked solid, 2 hours before our dinner reservations. At one point I even asked if there was ANYTHING else they could do to help resolve the situation, and was told that since we already turned down their offer of a full size bed, there was nothing else they were going to do. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel? By whose standards, exactly? We went down the road, where we were able to find ONE king size room left, and paid $200 for the priveledge. And to add insult to injury, I looked at my credit card statement today and saw that not only was I charged for the hotel that we stayed in, but I was ALSO charged for the hotel that turned us out! Not only will I NEVER reccomend this hotel to anyone, I will also be posting this review to any site I can for this hotel. Poor business practices, rude and unprofessional employees, and a true LACK of caring for customers. Kudos to the Inn at Opryland...you get the 5 star Suck Award!
