History at the Hermitage

We spent three days and from the time we arrived we were in awe at the great lobby, and upon learning the interesting history, we were glad we chose the Hermitage. The location cannot be better. The Oak Bar is a fun spot every night.

If you like things nice, you will love this

Came to Nashville without a reservation anywhere. Found this hotel on your Mobile App. Was short on sleep from a stay on a lumpy bed with a growling window fan in a chain hotel the night before. Was looking for something nice and comfortable. Nicely situated in downtown, beautiful lobby, helpful staff, good restaurants, well-appointed big room, walk in shower, nice towels and amenities in the bath and (good) coffee in the lobby in the morning. You would pay closer to $500 for this in New York or Chicago. If you come to Nashville and this doesn't suit you, I'd like to see a picture of what would! Couldn't have been happier with my stay. I won't look anywhere else when I come back.

I was traveling with my teenage daughter. She loved the lemon poppy seed scones and muffins at the morning coffee table. Much better than giving Starbucks $10 bucks!

Convenient and comfortable

Our room was very spacious with a terrific view of the state capital. The room was quiet at night. The food and drink at the downstairs bar was terrific and the wait staff was friendly and helpful. The famous men's bathroom near the bar has to be viewed, by both men and women, to be believed -- art deco with several shoe polishing stations.

Perfect oasis for hectic business trip!

A hectic, 'fly in, do business, fly out' trip was made perfect by the experience, amenities and pampering of the Hermitage! Topped off by superb cuisine at the Capitol Grill restaurant, it would be difficult to imagine a better travel combination than that afforded by the Hermitage. Wish there were more 'hermitages' across the USA. They'd have a faithful patron in me. The Hermitage Nashville is tops!

Amazing Historic Hotel with Helpful, Friendly Staff

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville and had the best hotel experience. The staff is so helpful and willing to assist with anything needed. We arrived at the hotel around 10am on our check in day and were able to get right into our room. The hotel is historic and over 100 years old but everything is so kept up with that you wouldn't be able to tell how old it is. Great location to downtown, it was about a 4 block walk to Broadway and the bars. We didn't get a chance to eat at the Capitol Grille (not the chain) but definitely would on our next visit. The boutique inside the hotel had the cutest dresses & jewelry and the prices were pretty reasonable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Puckett's restuarant has amazing southern cuisine and reasonable prices. It is only a one block walk from the hotel. They have live music and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our favorites are the "King's" french toast, fried green bean appetizer, pulled pork platter and drink specialties.

A beautiful place to stay

Everything was perfect and it was a perfect place to stay. Walking distance to all the honey tonks. When it rained they gave us an umbrella. Comfy rooms, beds and pillows. A little on the expensive side, but a real treat.
