Poor Shuttle

hotel is great, but we booked it knowing they had a shuttle back and forth to uptown. When we got there we got one shuttle and it broke down. We had to pay for taxis the rest of the trip. Could of stayed downtown just as cheap

Great Stay

We stayed at this hotel on our way through Nashville. It was very easy to find and was not far off of the interstate. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very nice. The parking garage left something to be desired and the fee was $15 per night for self parking. The hotel was very nice and clean. We did hear quite a bit of outside noise (police sirens and traffic), but that wouldn't deter us from staying there again. In fact, we are booking this hotel for the midpoint of our return home. We opted to eat at the Ohama restaurant inside the hotel. It was a little bit on the expensive side, but the food was very good. Overall, we had a good experience.

Nice but beware of the fire alarm

The accomodations were very nice, and the staff was helpful and friendly. On a lesser note, there was a fire alarm at 3 am. We had to walk down 8 flights of stairs to the outside while the fire Dept checked the Building. This wasn't too bad, however they couldn't quite figure out how to get it to stop. We were allowed back to our room, then the alarm kept going on and off for about 30-45 minutes

Would go again in a Heartbeat

Service was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts in the morning that were part of the room cost were an excellent way to start the day - I especially loved the omlete station! And the complimentary happy hour from 5-7...need I say more? Free shuttle service to the downtown area capped off the convenience of Embassy Suites. I am totally sold on Embassy Suites and will rebook in a heartbeat the next time I'm traveling in a city where they are.

Weekend getaway

My girlfriend and I were here for a few days visiting her brother, a Vanderbilt student. The campus is a short 7min walk. The highlights of the hotel were the awesome breakfast, the atrium where we could meet with friends before going out, the room cleanliness and layout, the free two hour happy hour and the accommodating hotel staff. I forgot my toothbrush and they brought one to me for free in about 2mins. They also provided a bottle opener for us. Also, the hotel offers a free shuttle within a 2 mile radius.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Some great places we were able to walk to were Midtown Wine & Liquors (they stock lots of microbrew beer and let you creat your own mix packs) and the Blackstone Brewery and Restaurant. We also really enjoyed checking out the nearby Yazoo Brewery (tours for $6) and Jack's Bar-B-Que. Unfortunately we missed out on Arnold's Country Kitchen... next time! I've seen really good music downtown before at Roberts Western World, Station Inn and Laylas, but not on this trip.
