Double booked

I specifically put late check-in when I made the reservation. The day of the trip, I called to confirm the late check in and the attendant was nice, she asked my time of arrival and said she'll note it for the night attendant. Well when we got there and went to the room, it was occupied! There was only one room left but had a roll away bed instead of two doubles. I declined, bc who wants a roll away bed after driving 8 hrs and room was already paid! I asked to be accomodated at a sister property... we got a old run down hotel! No manager has contacted me for the inconvenience with any compensation.

The room smelled, the toilet ran loud and constant, the roll away bed requested at the time of reservation was non existent, the staff was less than helpful, we left and went to a different hotel, couldn't bear to stay for even one night

A decent place to sleep

If you're looking for a place to lay your head after a busy day in Nashville, this will fit the bill. If you're looking for more, look elsewhere. The 2nd floor hallways were HOT (as in can't breathe kind of hot) but the rooms were cool. Decor was average. The day desk clerk was a sweet lady but the late night guy was ... let's just say this. We wouldn't let our teenage daughter go downstairs without one of us because the way he looked at females was what my grandma would have called "leering" at best. (A real creeper) The first two nights of our stay, the side door, which is supposed to be accessible only by guest card, was left open so anyone could have waltzed in off of the street. The best part of our stay was location (sort of). It was really close to Opryland. However, if you stay on the side closest to the Go Cart place next door, you'll hear the announcer calling the races until they close. This stay just proved that not all Days Inns are created equal.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

If you go to Opryland Resort/Convention Center and don't want to pay the $18-$25 daily parking, park at the Opry Mills Mall and walk over. It's a short stroll to the Delta section of Opryland and from there, you can go anywhere on the property.

Close to the action

The hotel needs work, but couldn't be better location-wise and the price was great. We met the new general manager who took over a couple weeks ago. She fixed things that were wrong immediately and even printed out directions for us to a restaurant we wanted to visit. I expect the hotel itself to improve service under her management.

Late checkin/Appliances didnt work

We were not able to check-in on time because there was a marathon race and most of the people did not check out on time. We saw a note taped to the entrance doors saying that if they were checking out late to let the front desk know. That should not have been an option because it made the other guests have to wait to check in. We didn't check in to our room until 4. We had somewhere to be at 5 which required formal attire and more preparation time that we got. So we were in a rush to get to our event...and were not prepared when we left because of being rushed. The microwave and refrigerator were unplugged. When we tried to plug it in, you had to hold the plug to make the microwave and refrigerator work...which didn't work well at all.
