Very comfortable!

Clean and comfortable. Fairly basic, but given this is one of the less expensive hotels in the area, it was nicer than expected. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, it is time to upgrade the televisions to flat screens!

Affordable, with few complaints

The Days Inn Opryland offers an affordable stay, with opryland in walking distance (1 mi.) No five star hotel: they offer minimal amenities. Still, for its location, the price is good. I spent little time in the room. For sleeping, showering, and getting a light breakfast, the hotel suited the purpose. Staff seemed friendly, but don't come here expecting it to be a high end hotel.

Friendly Staff, great location but ...

This is a great location to stay in Nashville, especially if the Grand Ole Opry is on your agenda. Downtown is only a 10 minute drive or the staff will gladly recommend a shuttle service for $10 round trip if you don't want to drive and park. The king size room is spacious, however, the bed linens, towels and rug had a damp feeling to them. After a day, our clothes did, too. The air conditioning worked enough to cool down the room, but it didn't seem to take the humidity out of the air. After two nights at this hotel, we moved to another one.

DON'T DO IT!

The room was dirty, filled with bugs, and the staff was far less then helpful. I had to leave just after one day in the room so I could get some sleep and they wouldn't let me have a refund! Don't make the same mistake I did ... it isn't worth it!

My experience bordered terrible.

I stayed three nights. I noticed insect bites that occurred while I slept the first night. I ignored them initially but I had more the second night. I also received three harassing prank phone calls the second night. The staff seemed sketchy and not very helpful.

Smokey Hotel

I requested a non-smoking room, but found two used ash trays in the room. So much for non smoking. I informed the front desk but the young lady tried her best to convince me that I was in a non smoking room even though the evidence was there. She finally admitted that the whole hotel smell like smoke. I guess that is why she did not try to find me a different room. The electric sockets are overloaded with numerous items plugged in, creating a fire hazard. The ironing board holder fell off the wall. This is a hotel that I will recommend to my friends, family and co-workers to stay away from. UNDERCOVER BOSS where are you?

not worth the cheap stay

The hotel only had smoking rooms available, and insisted that I had booked one, which I definitely didn't. When I walked in the tub was completely full of water and the tap was dripping. The bath mat was soaked. It took me ages to figure out how to make the hot water work - jamming the lever repeatedly to the side seemed to work but it took a lot of force. The window didn't want to be open or closed...it was suck in a cracked position but I couldn't either open it for a breeze or close it to keep bugs out. I travel for work and staying at this hotel reminded me why it's worth it to pay a little more, or book early enough to get the place that sells out!

Family Vacation

We booked this hotel for a week's stay in Nashville. Before we arrived the staff didn't seem to want to help me in reserving a crib for our daughter. Once there we did end up having the floor we wanted and a crib was in there when we arrived which was pleasantly surprising. The entire hotel smelt horrible which was a huge turn off from the moment we walked in. The elevator smell actually made me feel sick. Thankfully the rooms smelt better than the rest of the hotel. Our toilet in our room was very difficult to flush and the faucet in the shower looked like it was falling apart and was really low on the wall. The air conditioning in the room worked perfect and we were very very grateful for that. We were also a little bummed that there was no attractions/ restaurant book in our room with places to eat or things to see near by. They did have a phone book and fliers in the lobby though. Breakfast wasn't great. Hardly any options and mostly eaten by staff. The other thing was that our room had NO fridge and NO microwave which we believed was throughout the whole hotel yet my dad came and stayed on a different floor and his room did have a microwave and fridge! The location is great but all in all it is a so-so hotel and would probably be better as a one night stayer than for a longer vacation.
