A decent place to sleep

If you're looking for a place to lay your head after a busy day in Nashville, this will fit the bill. If you're looking for more, look elsewhere. The 2nd floor hallways were HOT (as in can't breathe kind of hot) but the rooms were cool. Decor was average. The day desk clerk was a sweet lady but the late night guy was ... let's just say this. We wouldn't let our teenage daughter go downstairs without one of us because the way he looked at females was what my grandma would have called "leering" at best. (A real creeper) The first two nights of our stay, the side door, which is supposed to be accessible only by guest card, was left open so anyone could have waltzed in off of the street. The best part of our stay was location (sort of). It was really close to Opryland. However, if you stay on the side closest to the Go Cart place next door, you'll hear the announcer calling the races until they close. This stay just proved that not all Days Inns are created equal.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

If you go to Opryland Resort/Convention Center and don't want to pay the $18-$25 daily parking, park at the Opry Mills Mall and walk over. It's a short stroll to the Delta section of Opryland and from there, you can go anywhere on the property.

DON'T DO IT!

The room was dirty, filled with bugs, and the staff was far less then helpful. I had to leave just after one day in the room so I could get some sleep and they wouldn't let me have a refund! Don't make the same mistake I did ... it isn't worth it!

Okay Nashville, but not great

This hotel needs to get some much needed updates to keep up with ages, carpets need to get changed, much needed coat of fresh paint. The room that I was in the fan in the bathroom did not work and the AC unit did not stay on, so the room was a wave of temps all night long.

serious cleaning issues

the Days INN Oprayland, had some serious cleaning issues, we have an AirSource mobile which kills mould and mildew, so we were able to stay, prior to turning on the AirSource we had a very strong smell of urine at our door way, a number of other participants in our conference moved to other hotels. The carpets in the hall ways were really dirty, the elevator was also dirty. On a positive note the continental breakfast was enormous, although the coffee was of poor quality. the location of the awimming pool ( in the parking lot) made it uncomfortable to stay in it for very long. this hotel was close to the gaylord opreyland resort where our conference took place and convienient to restuarants. We use the days Inn hotel chain here in Canada and have always found the Canadain Hotels clean.

Not so great...

The rate was good, the room was very basic. The hallways were filled with trash from rooms all weekend long. The carpet was filthy and there was a strong mildew odor in the hallways and in the room. They had dehumidifiers going to try and address the odor, I guess. The pool faced the highway-very nosiy with lots of traffic. Would never stay there again.
