Air didn't work on arrival, but check in and out was smooth and the shower was exquisite. .. I know that sounds insane but the shower made up for the lack of air conditioning (it was fixed soon after check in)

Great location just a bit overpriced

Great staff and location. The only problem we had was AC not working properly and trying to charge for items that we did not use in stocked refrigerator but they took care of that upon checkout.

Fantastic hotel!

The only reason I gave the amenities a 4 is no pool and a place to get free cold water on each floor would be nice, but it really isn't that big of a deal. The staff is amazing and the place is right next to Beale St and other attractions. I will definitely stay here again!

We took in a Memphis Redbirds game. It was super cheap, great seats, and a firework show on saturdays. It is a ton of fun!

Awesome weekend getaway with the family!

Really nice hotel for the money and location. We stayed three nights and never had a problem. Valet and desk staff were very nice and informative. Total package at a good price. We could look down on Beale Street from our room. Will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. Only drawback for my daughters was no pool.

Great time!

The hotel is conveniently located one block from Beale St. (which our room overlooked.) It's next door to the FedEx Forum, a short walk to AutoZone Park, The Peabody, Main Street, or the river. The Westin is a modern facility with an excellent, friendly staff.

Beale Street Start

We chose to stop our first day of travel in Memphis and decided to splurge at this upscale hotel just a block off Beale. Let me point out that my issues with this property are mostly related to my not reading the fine print, not doing proper research and in general having a mistaken opinion of what an upscale property offers. When we arrived we asked the bellman about parking and he directed us to the garage next door, explaining that you can take the elevator down and it will lead to the lobby. Not exactly - there was a flight of stairs between the elevator and the lobby and a room key was necessary to enter. Can't do that till you check in so we traipsed outside to come in the door by the bellman. The check in process was smooth and when we got to our room we found it to be lovely with a view of Beale street (albeit from the back of the beer garden#. We had reserved a king bed room but were put into a two queen bed room. I did not make an issue as I remembered the price was the same online for each choice. Two beds in this room seemed to be a bit cramped but the bathroom was HUGE. Separate tub, spa-like vanity and corner glass shower with overhead rain shower and hand held unit. Luxurious. Prior to going out for the evening we attempted to connect with Wi-Fi and were told it is only available #without charge# in the lobby. #Hummm. Even a Drury has Wi-Fi in the room.) There is a well-stocked minibar with snacks and drinks for the very well-healed. Electronic system warned that if you picked up an item you would be charged in 60 seconds. Don't touch those macadamia nuts!! After spending some time on Beale St we returned to the room to find that our 3rd floor room was eye-level with the light show sculpture in the beer garden at our window level. That, along with the band from said garden made for a fairly noisy night. On the web it advised parking would be extra - $18-25 - self parking and valet. When we presented our ticked for validation we were told 'oh, you don't need it for overnight'. Ok, cost us $20 to get out of the garage. As mentioned first, if I had paid attention to small print and details I would have 1) requested a room on the side AWAY from Beale, 2) just camped out in the lobby for the Wi-Fi, and 3) insisted on clarifications. The location of the property is great for Beale Street - just be aware of what is and is not included in an upscale hotel.

The dinner I had there is good. The room has a odd/strong fragrant smell which I didn't like so much.
