Great place

Great service starting with parking. Staff very helpful and fast. Rooms very nice you could smell how clean they where upon entering. Everything you needed was there. Breakfast in dinning room the next morning was very nice and the waitress was very helpful with our breakfast selection. We will most likely try it again. My only draw back is price compared to some of the other hotels around beale.

Not worthy of a Westin flag

Having stayed at many a Starwood property, this is the worst I have experienced. The overall appearance was a little shabby for a Westin, with trash remaining in the elevator for over 12 hours, decorative plants having been pulled out of their pots and dirt strewn around on tables, and the rooms and hallways being filled with awful, high blue flourescent lights everywhere. Someone needs to tell these folks that soft white flourescents don't cost any more. Worse was the service. We arrived at 5:30 PM, and our rooms were not ready. The lobby was crammed with others standing around in the same predicament, some of whom reported waiting 2.5 hours for their room to be cleaned. During the time we waited in the lobby, we saw two different sets of people get keys to the wrong rooms, which were occupied when they got up to them. The staff was not apologetic about any of this, and lacked that can-do attitude I expect at a Westin. We waited at the bar, only to watch the bartender sitting down behind the bar cutting fruit out in plain sight. A letdown of a hotel to say the least.

memphis blues competition week

The hotel is perfectly located for enjoying Beale Street without a rental car. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. has both a bathtub and shower. You have to pay for wi-fi (almost all the other area hotels have free wi-fi) and, while their site says they have smoking rooms, they do not. we found that very disappointing as you can smoke in nearly every bar in town. They should be honest about that on their site. Their room windows are sealed shut, so no fresh air for your room. We would not stay their again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Beale Street is a very entertaining area if you love music and live bands. Plenty of good restaurants and bars. You are a short cab ride from Graceland.

Nightmare on Beale Street

Room not ready on time. Incompetent staff. One of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. Find another hotel. These people couldn't run a stable.
