This place deserves every star it has received !
The ducks in the fountain are a quaint addition, but what really matters is how busy it can be while the staff seem able to make service flow seamlessly, even when wits are longish. They upwell, offer advice, acknowledge requests... you name it, they are all well prepared. The location is ideal for river walks, visits to museums, Beale Street... this part of Memphis seems to finally be making a comeback and The Peabody Hotel is its star and upscale anchor. Check out special activities on roof -- where ballroom music is scheduled once, weekly.

Vacation break
When I checked in they did not have the room that I paid for which is the Superior room. All of the Superior rooms were booked with the king bed, all were left were the 2 doubles that I did not want. I tried to call ahead of time to check on the room but was not able to do because your booking is only available to them 24 hours before my arrival. Other than that the stay was okay.

Peabody knows the trouble I've seen
Did not have room reserved had to downgrade. They lost my luggage from curb. Wifi did not work and desk/concierge did not know how to fix it. When I found bags, took 30 minutes to get help with luggage trolley. What the heck did I pay for? Any other hotel would have had to be better. but it is pretty and clean.

Over paid Under stayed
Small but cute....I guess!
I stayed at the Peabody in June 2012...my room was very small and my bed was not a king size bed....I paid about 250 a night for this hotel and my bathroom was so small I ran into the toliet after washing my hands (I forgot that the toliet was so close in the middle of the night). The hotel was packed so you had to wait a while for the elevator. I would for sure check into a cheaper hotel if your not going to be in your room all that much! and BTW room service prices were 5 star prices for 3 star food...I figured you spend $30 bucks the food would be great, I was wrong!

5 Star?
the location gets 5 stars it is a few blocks away from beale street and in the heart of downtown where all the action is. I would have the say the worst costomer service that i've ever expreiences which i was very suprised by this considering it is a 5 star hotel. The room was small, our shower curtain had black mold on it and it took 3 calls to get it changed. The parking lot we paid to be in was full on our second night. This location takes care of VIP guest only, we had to wait 20 minutes for an elevator b/c 2 were being used for VIP only on the rootp. We notified the manager about our terrible service and problems we had faced during our stay he said sorry and told us to expect something in our room for our troubles. We didn't get anything and later our bill was compted one night for the parking garage being full. This is a beautiful location but i will not be staying here again.

If you plan to see the ducks come early as the lobby fills up fast. Find a location by the elevator or a seat at the bar for the best views
