Motel 6 Memphis Downtown

We liked the location because it was close to the Veterans Hospital where my husband was to have surgery.The price was very reasonable. The staff was halfway friendly. However I was extreamly unhappy with the rooms appearance. It was plain to see that the bed had been previously slept in. There was[*] {black hair}in and around the sink and countertop. My husband and I are white/cherokee decent. the floor had not been vaccumed. I personaly liked my previously visits with other Motel 6 stays. But, I must say this is the first time I was disappointed in Motel 6. I felt like I was staying in a brothel. Sinceraly,Kathleen & Jimmie Dunn

the hotel has a central location but was not worth it in the end. the staff was remarkably unfriendly and told me to check in 4.5 hours after i arrived because it was a sunday and things just run slower on sundays. in addition to this there was a significant plumbing issue where several rooms had overflowing bathrooms that extended to the beds.

Room was small, cheaply furnished and inexpensive. Building was quiet and conveniently located to access downtown Memphis

It's a basic room for a decent price, considering the location. I guess this is all that one might ask for. Fuller cable options, wi-fi, or other complimentary items should not be asked for- because they are not available. Also not available- towels that might cover even half of your body. But I would say that this is okay- I didn't travel to Memphis to hang out in my hotel room anyway.

THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE AND VERY COMFORTABLE. THANK FOR THE REFRIGERATOR AND MICROWAVE. REALLY A VERY NICE ROOM AND I LIKED VERY MUCH. I COULD HAVE WALK TO DOWNTOWN BUT TOO FAR. ANYWAY I ENJOYED VERY MUCH.

The Motel6 Downtown Memphis was somewhat comfortable,however the surrounding area was a little less than desireable. There was adequate space in the room, it was clean although didn't seem to be as fresh as other establishments that I've stayed in. The location provided ease of access to all the sites & points of interest that I had planned to visit. Did not really feel comfortable leaving valueables in the room because of the surrounding area. Would stay there again, but wouldn't be my first choice.

The hotel itself was certainly not glamourous, but it was clean and served its purpose quite well. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and courteous and the room itself served it purpose. The access to downtown was somewhat convenient, although it is a pretty good 4 block or so walk to a trolly stop (kind of difficult after a few drinks downtown to get back). Though for the price, this will be as close to downtown as you will get without spending a lot more on the room. There was not an iron or ironing board available in the room, but there was hanging space for clothing and a fairly large vanity area. There was a desk in the room with two chairs and a little sitting table. There was a Burger King in the same parking lot and a Walgreens across the street, which was convenient for things we had forgotten and a quick bit to eat. Because it was such a busy weekend, the hotel ran out of clean towels and it was a while before they were available so I would recommend bringing an extra towel or two if possible.

i was only down 4 one night,nice,clean,had a time with getting the heat 2 work,but in all was very good

WE WERE VERY DISATISFIED WITH OUR STAY. IT WAS IN A VERY BAD PART OF TOWN. THE ROOM WAS FILTHY. IT JUST WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL!

This hotel was located in a great area, just mins from from downtown and easy access to other areas.
