Vacation to visit son who is in college.
The breakfast was very good and having coffee, tea and hot choc offer all day and night was an extra, along with fresh fruit. I do miss not having a microwave and frig in the room. We have stayed at this hotel about five times because it is close to our son who is attending the University of Memphis. It has alway be clean and the employees all have been very welcoming.

Great stay!!

Perfect location for our purposes.
Staff was excellent. Accomodations were fine. Comfortable bed. There is a railroad crossing very near and the train come through several times a night during the weekdays, just a couple on the weekends. Very loud.

Poplar Avenue was the location of this particular Hampton Inn. Poplar Avenue is a great location since it is easy access to most of the attractions that we wanted to see. Lots of nice restaurants, shopping, etc within 10 miles of the hotel.

Reasonably priced & easy access to River
Originally, we wanted to stay somewhere downtown, close to the river. However, room rates were a bit steep; not unreasonable --- just a little higher than we were willing to pay. This particular Hampton Inn is located very close to the Interstate and works quite well for trips back & forth to the downtown, Beale Street, and river area for special events throughout the year.

nice hotel should be better
room was very humid, even with the air conditioning on full blast. dirty bathroom, and the shower stall sliding door got stuck and came off while trying to get out of the shower. Hallways were extremely humid. I have stayed here before, TWICE, and it was much better in the past. Also, right across the street from the train tracks. Very noisy. Trains run through the night. Can also hear the hallway noise and noise from outside very clearly. Comfortable bed.

Great once You Get there
The desk staff member was responsive, and courteous. the check in, check out process was expedient. The grounds were well kept. The continental breakfast included waffles and eggs with hams and cheese, fresh fruit, and yogurt, not just danish, muffins and cold cereal. Great attention to customer comfort and needs. Thanks!
