Downtown hotel walking distance to major attractions and business

family vacation
the security was well above average with the room cards to get in almost everywhere. the problem was we had 7 different times the card failed. this was a terrible inconvience. the room was clean and kept that way. the rug did need a good cleaning. location was perfect. the help was very courteous. all in all, very good experience.

Good for the business traveler
I and a colleague stayed here for three nights. The rooms are spacious, wifi seemed pretty good for a hotel, and the location was great. Would have liked more equipment in the fitness room (only one treadmill). The common areas are very nice and breakfast was quite good too. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The Hampton at Beale Street Blues
Location, Location, Location......This is the place to stay if you want to enjoy Memphis food, jazz and blues. Very safe, secure, you have to use your room key to get in the building after hours and at all times to get on the elavator. 24 hour a day pool and spa! ONE BIG COMPLAINT....IF I AM PAYING OVER $200 A NIGHT FOR A ROOM IN THE OFF SEASON....WHY ARE YOU CHARGED $17 A NIGHT TO PARK IN THE HOTEL PARKING GARAGE???? THAT'S BS! THAT'S A LITTLE CHECK IN SURPRISE WHEN YOU GET THERE! This should be noted somewhere in the reservation info.

Great location and very nice
This hotel was very clean and affordable, in a great location. I couldn't have asked for more out of my stay. Breakfast was great every morning.

Beale St
Great location for Beale St. but as the sign in the lobby says, this is not a quiet location. Unfortunately as we explored around Downtown Memphis is just about dead and half of the clubs on Beale are generic. Foremost among them is Hard Rock and Coyote Ugly. A few good Blues Clubs remain but Beale looked anemic and half of the bldgs owntown are vacant including the Peabody Shopping Mall.Sincerely hope Memphis works on bringing Beale St. back to being a real entertainment district.

Skip Charlie Vergos Rendevous, this was the worst BBQ I have ever eaten. The ribs did not fall off the bone and there was so much dry rub my first bite felt like a mouthful of dust. Also the waitstaff were rude and threw plates on the table. Sad to see a landmark die like this.

Fantastic Experience
We were visiting Memphis for the 1st time as part of our family vacation. The location to the Memphis experience was perfect! Walking distance to most everything there is to do in Memphis. You get to experience the Beale St. atmosphere from the hotel as you will be able to hear the live music but the stay was still quiet enough to get proper rest. We can't wait to come back again!

Don't waste your time with Rendevouz, we listened to a local and he sent us to BB King's Blues Club on Beale St. WOW, great eats and live music to boot! And they have real sweet tea...not the instant stuff!

Great location for the price
We visited Graceland, Staxx Records, Sun Studios and went on a walking haunted ghost tour and all were fun and family friendly. Beale street in literally around the corner. All the places on Beale allow children in til 10pm and serve food.We did have to pay 17 buks a nite for parking but well worth it for safety and you will pay anyway if you are driving in from another hotel. The front desk staff were nice and helpful, even the housekeepers were always greeting us. The breakfast was wonderful little bit of everything. Over all I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. [...]

Nice place
This was a fairly nice place, clean and safe. It was undergoing some rennovations while I was there, but that was fairly unobtrusive. If you're in Memphis to enjoy the vibrant downtown scene, this location is perfect. The staff was very friendly.
