Extended Stay Deluxe Memphis - Wolfchase Galleria

1st room: 2 large puddles of water on kitchen floow; crazy stains all over carpet; given a smoking when booked and signed for nonsmoking. Staff accommodating and gave me new room. 2nd room: condom wrapper on floor beside bed, very visible/hard to miss. used bundled towel on rack; used soap left on sink atop wrapper. Lots of trash left in bathroom garbage can; toilet was left running when I got in the room I bought a bedsheet set at the Target close by bc of the 2nd room change and condom wrapper. (though I didn't complain to the staff the 2nd time - figured that was as good as it got... ). Kitchenette convenient, bathroom and shower otherwise clean.

This was a business trip with two of us (both female). Upon arrival they did not have the room that I had booked. They did offer a room with bed and sofa sleeper, which was also a handicapped accessible room. This was an inconvenience but could be managed. When I returned to the desk to ask for bedding for the sofa sleeper I was given a fitted sheet and a top sheet, no pillow no blanket. When I did ask for a pillow the staff seemed inconvenienced. Other than this the staff were friendly. The room accommodations were not what I would call up to standard. The chairs were stained on the seat and on the back. The sofa sleeper had a substance running down the left side, the bathroom door on the inside had dirt on it on the upper portion. The bathroom was handicapped accessible which posed a bit of difficulty for us as the water from the shower splashed onto the floor and made it slippery for us to walk on at the shower. We used the mat they make available as well as a towel so we would not fall and the water would be close to maintained. The positive of the room was there was a full sized refrigerator.

The woman that checked us in was very nice & it's ONLY for that reason that I didn't fill out the survey that was e-mailed directly to me. But, people need to be forewarned about this place! I usually depend on ratings to help choose where I book, but I was in a hurry & didn't this time & I've lived to regret it! I'm not overly picky, but I do expect cleanliness. Here's my experience: Lobby was nice. Check-in clerk (or manager) was nice. That's where "nice" ended. My sons & I took the elevator to the 3rd floor, stepped out to a hallway that looked like it was in the process of a renovation & smelled. Got to our "non-smoking" room & it smelled of old smoke & had an ashtray in a drawer. There were only 4 bath towels in the room (no hand towels or washcloths). So, I went back to the lobby to ask for more towels & bedding for the sleeper sofa. The clerk brought me the bedding, but profusely apologized that she hadn't managed to get the towels washed that day. What?! Then, she first asked if I could wait until the next afternoon, then she said she would scour the empty rooms on the 3rd floor & try to find some extra towels (adding that the 2nd floor had already been explored. I thanked her & went back upstairs. I was so looking forward to a hot bath after traveling all day, but... nope. The bathtub had some standing water, was stained & had no plug. Behind the toilet had a lot of water damage, a drawer was missing on the sink cabinet, the hair dryer plug was broken & had a short and the cord was filthy, when the sleeper sofa was pulled out, it was dirty underneath, the bedding had hair on it.... I could go on & on... THEN, we discover that we can't pick up their wi-fi on any of our devices. About that time there's a knock on the door & the clerk is standing there with a 4 washcloths & after I thank her, she asks if we could please be more quiet, b/c there was a complaint about the noise coming from our room. I told her that we weren't making any noise & she just smiled & said that she would try to move them to another room & if we could just "keep it down" till then. Seriously?! I just smiled & asked about the wi-fi & she said she could never remember how that works & would call me when she found out. The call came awhile later with an 800# to call, which I called & got the wi-fi to work. The walls are paper thin & the floors sqeak horribly, which is how we discovered we were making too much noise for the people below us... by WALKING. When one of my sons was walking to the bathroom, we were startled my some irate person in the room below BANGING on his ceiling/our floor. Ummmm... Solution? They must've gotten moved. We were gone from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. the days we were there, so it was only a place to sleep & shower. But, I would NOT stay there again. This is the worst experience I've had with a hotel. P.S. The interior pictures on this site (of the rooms) are NOT accurate. Unless some have been updated & some have not. Because the room we stayed in was small, cramped & rundown (with the exception of the flat screen t.v.).

When my boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel, the person at the desk had no knowledge of our reservation. We waited over 1 hour for her to clean a room. She never apologized for the wait.

Remotes for the TV did not work even the one i swapped out at the front desk. Room smelled. Not the best.

After I read the horrible reviews I checked in ready for the worst. Pleasantly surprised, the room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. And the staff were very friendly. I will return!!

Staff was friendly, but only one person working morning and evening.Dirty towel left in the bathroom stained sheets.

i wouldn't know how the hotel was, i got there and even though i had a confirmation number, they did not have a room for us. It was not good! I had to go around looking for hotels IN THE 98 DEGREE TEMP and had to end up paying double!!!

Easy to find & very good location! Staff was very nice but the carpet in hallway looked as if it had not been vacuumed in several days! This served to make me question why & how much detail is put into cleaning. Over all, was satisfied with the stay, only wish it had been for a couple of days!

Plently of room in the hotel. Room was not as clean as I would have liked. Did get offered to switch rooms later. Staff was nice. Good shopping location.
