Elevator Concerns

There were long waits for the elevator. Additionally, the elevator buttons do not light up when they are pressed. Apparently it was less expensive to have a sign made to put in the elevator about the buttons than it was to have the buttons fixed.

Just Right!

I checked in with ease and even early. I was accommodated with out a problem. My room was a king and very spacious, clean and cool as it can get HOT in Memphis. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee/tea pot, which made my stay very comfortable. The location allowed me to sight see on foot through the streets of Memphis and the famous Beale Street. The hot breakfast in the morning was more than inviting and plenty of variety. Waffles (made by you) nice and hot, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, an assortment of bagels, pastries, and breads were for the taking. Not to mention, yogurt, cereal, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, ...I can go on! I will stay at this hotel again...Thank You!

Memphis trip

I stayed at the Comfort Inn, across from Mud Island and only a block from the downtown Main Street. The location was convenient to the trolley and bus system and was only a 10 minute walk to Beale Street. The hotel was somewhat nondescript from the outside and in the hallway but my room was clean, neat, and well maintained. The wi-fi worked well; no problems. There was a hot bar for breakfast with complimentary newspapers. I would certainly stay here again.

Good for Budget Conscious

This hotel is located 1/2 block away from Main Street where you can catch the trolly for Beale Street and other attractions. The trolly didn't run as promptly as advertised, but it does run. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly, but it's dated and worn. Compared to others in the area - the location is just as good and the price reflects the current condition.

Catch the trolly to Beale Street and dine at Blues City Cafe - best catfish ever! Ribs great too, but not dry rub. Also, first weekend of May is Beale Street Music Festival. This is a great time to go if you love the blues!

Nice place to stay if you have business in town. Easy to get to from airport, plenty of attractions within walking distance. Staff was nice, room adequate, free wireless internet was nice and complimentary breakfast was above average.

One night stay

we stayed only one night and the hotel was a good deal for downtown Memphis. The room was nice but nothing special. We had a great view of the bridge and pyramid from our room which was beautiful at night. Some of the staff were not friendly, did not say a word while we rode 6 floors on the elevator but instead talked to each other about how much they hated their job. Overall, it was a good experience.

Much needed weekend getaway

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was neat. AC unit was a little sporadic, but not that bad. Breakfast was great. The only problem wasn't really with the hotel, just the location. Pan handling in Memphis is getting to be an epidemic. If you want to take an evening stroll, or even a walk during the day, you're going to get hit up about every other block. Keep to the trolleys or drive.

Entertainment tip: Long walk from hotel

Beale Street entertainment is fantastic. Take some one dollar bills to tip the bands. Drinks are high along the strip, so if you're on a budget, take a water bottle or plastic bottled soda. You can hear many from the street. During the day, a few places, like BB Kings, will let you walk around inside without a cover charge and listen to the band. Sunday afternoons are good for that. And take the trolley to Beale. parking is thin and panhandling is out of control
