Pleasant Stay
My wife and I wanted to get away in March. Although it was cold, we enjoyed our time in MB, especially in this hotel. The pool was heated and the indoor pool was decently sized. The room and bathroom were big and clean. The staff was pleasant although we went during off peak season. They also have a nice bar and the bartender there was friendly. The location is far from the beach and the center of MB, but as long as your have a car, everything is easily accessible.

Short drive from hotel
A supermarket (Lowes) is right across the highway. You can get snacks and/or a full cooked meal (to go) there if you want to stay in.

Poor experience
I read most reviews on Orb--itz about this hotel before I booked a room for two nights. For $200 a night I really expected to find what all good reviewers found. I'm back and honestly very disappointed. You enter the room from an outside corridor. Not a big deal if its summer but a huge problem in the winter especially if you have kids that love to splash in the indoor pool and then go back to the room. They have to walk all the way to the room in freezing temperature. An inconvenience for us. The room looks nicely furnished though you can see it is not cleaned enough for the price one pays. There is a "go green" tag than one can hang on the outside door handle and for a $5 coupon the cleaning staff won't do their job for a day. Interesting if you don't want anybody to poke in your stuff and have kids that go crazy to make a few dollars for candies. Breakfast is not included though for $14.99 you can have buffet style. Go there if you're sick and can't go anywhere else. It is horrible at best. Overall I didn't like it. I've been multiple times in Europe and even here, Las Vegas and some hotels in FL and trust me, for $200 per night one can do much, much better somewhere else. I can only imagine what an $80-120 hotel in the same areas can offer. Couple tips. If you like Whole Foods type market you're out of luck. There is none. "Bay Naturals market" is a wanna be Whole Foods but fails big time. Avoid the downtown area, there is a big Ferris Wheel there. It's no more than gh--etto style with gh--etto stores and very dubious people.

5 star hotel disappointment
Biggest disappointment is that the rooms open to the outside enviroment. Room was located on the 4th floor, ice machine was located on the 1st floor. Long walk outside in December to get ice. Fitness center was nice, but the sauna had no water in the bucket to place over the coals to create steam. The room had a twenty year old TV. Most hotels went to flat screens several years ago. This was hardly a 5 star hotel, 3 star at the best.
