Holiday Inn Express MYRTLE BEACH-BROADWAY@THE BCH

Misleading name. More than a mile and a half from the beach. Floors and rugs stained and dirty. No amenities such as a small refrigerator, microwave etc. We paid significantly less in the previous hotel on this trip and were more satisfied.

My stay was horrific, we asked for a non smoking room (which they claimed was all non smoking) and ended up in a room that had been a smoking room. It smelled of smoke and was unbearable. The hotel fought with me, they were rude, disrespectful and unaccommodating. The only solution they provided was to either put us on the street with our money and no room (at midnight) or to put us in a different room that the lock was broken off of the door (the door wouldn't even close.) We were promised to move rooms the next day but they put us in a smaller, more noisy room without any compensation for that inconvenience. Our trip was ruined because of the frustration we had with the staff and management.

We were not able to check in until 12:30 am because the fire dept was called and everyone was out in the parking lot. The furniture was very outdated.I liked the way the bed sheets were done with no comforter. The staff were very nice and the breakfast good.

The Holiday Inn Express needs to do better on their cleanliness, and the maintanence of their hotel. The bathroom in our room neededx major work, and truthfully I have a problem when there is mold in the corner, as well as having to ask for towels becasue housekeeping failed to leave clean ones. I also have issues having to personally ask the housekeeping staff to vacuum the floor becasue the stuffing was falling out of the bottom of it.There were no dining facilities in the hotel, and the snack machines was mostly empty. I also was disappointed that they did not offer refrigerators in the room, even for additional charges. Each floor smelled of cigarette smoke because they do not offer non smoking floors. The most positive thing I thought of the hotel was the continental breakfast they offered. There was a lot of variety, and the 2 people who controlled it were very personable. I would not recommend this hotel for a family extended time vacation. It is only tolerable for a business link for 1-2 days.

The Holiday Inn Express at Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach, SC is located in a great area, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely sized. The beds are very comfortable, but the cleanliness of the bathroom needs improvement. Our bathroom had visible fuzz accumulation on the tile baseboards, mold growth on the tile at the junction where the tub met the tile on the wall and floor, and there was something that appeared to be fecal material splattered on the wall just below the toilet paper dispenser right at eye level. We filled out the customer satisfaction questionnaire at the hotel and mentioned all of this in my remarks. We had previously stayed at this hotel, but I don't think we will stay there again. Considering that this hotel is a little more expensive than some, it should be better maintained.

This hotel is quite a drive from the ocean. It is however located near shops and restaurants. No fridge or microwave in the rooms. While we were there the hotel was replacing the carpet in the hall on the floor where we were staying. The workers would stop and stare whenever we were coming and going. When I requested that we be moved to another floor I was told no. They said I had a discounted rate anyway and acted like I should be ok with the construction. The staff at this hotel is the rudest that I have ever encountered, including the hotel manager.

nice room in a good location across the street from Broadway at the Beach. Short drive to the beach and the staff was helpful.

The hotel facilitues were very nicely maintained and in working order. Room was clean and looked to be recently remodeled. Noise however was a factor as a dog was barking in a room nearby along with loud talking and banging in the hallways and adjacent room. Overall though it was OK.

Great hotel location for a fun girls' weekend. Lots of room and staff was helpful.

breakfast on that saturday great but on sunday breakfast was like 70% missing. THE FRONT DESK OLD MAN ON JUN 4TH SAT GRAVE YARD SHIFT, NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL AND ON SUNDAY 5TH GRAVE YARD OLD LADY SHIFT VERY UNPLEASANT TO OUR SON, IF BY ANY REASON WHY THEY DONT LIKE THEIR SHIFT COME ON RETIRE NOW NOT 4U IT IS TIME TO LET GO. U LOOKED OVER 65, CHANGE JOBS, RETIREMENT HOME, OR DONT TAKE CARE OF UR GRAND KIDS SO U'LL BE HAPPY AND FRIENDLY AT UR JOBS,ETC... THE SHOWER NO PRESSURE LITTLE WATER FROM SHOWER HEAD. POWERFULL LOWER BUT NO PRESSURE UPPER SHOWER HEAD. COOK STAFF AND HOUSEKEEPING VERY FRINDLY: GOOD MORNING, HOW IS UR DAY, OTHER SHIFTS FRONT DESK VERY FRIENDLY NICE AND CLEAN REST OF THE HOTEL, UR BOOKS HELPED US FOR SHOPPING & ENTERTAINMENT.
